Replacement 7-Way and 4-Way Recommendation for a 2004 Ford F-150
Published 04/30/2015 >
Question:
I have a 2004 F-150 FX4 4-wheel drive pickup with the factory 4way and 7way plug on it. Will this product replace it? Will it plug into the original factory harness or do I need a replacement wiring loom? I like this setup much better, my factory plug has the four way connector with the very flimsy cover that is torn off. I would like to replace it with this connector.

Yes, the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket # HM40975 that you referenced would replace the 4 and 7-way you have on your 2004 Ford F-150 currently. The connector you currently have will unplug from the harness and you will be able to install this connector in it's place.
Check out the install video I attached that shows this connector being installed on a similar Ford F-150 as yours.
