Will Demco Base Plate Fit 2026 For Maverick Hybrid Lariat

Updated 04/17/2026 | Published 12/08/2025

Question:

Demco says in an email to me Dec 6, they haven’t approved a baseplate for a 2026 Ford Lariat yet. You are saying it fits. My Lariat will arrive right around Christmas. 3FTTW8S32TRA22054 What’s the truth?

Hey Bob! We are ahead of manufacturer fitment pretty often, and have confirmed that the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM38CV will fit the 2026 Maverick Hybrid. Our own etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e96GV shares the same design so you can use that as well. It will work with a Demco tow bar if you already have one, and etrailer tow bars like the SD # e34ZR and XHD # e94ZR.

If you would prefer manufacturer confirmation, then I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM87NQ. Roadmaster has already confirmed their base plate for the 2025 carries over to the 2026 model. This will work with all Roadmaster tow bars like the Falcon 3HD # RM27NQ.

Do you have the rest of your parts picked out for flat towing yet?

@BobS if it is the Demco # DM38CV or etrailer # e96GV no adapter is needed. If you get the Roadmaster # RM87NQ you can use the Blue Ox Tow Bar Adapter Brackets for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates # BX88185.

The Demco base plate DM 38 CV that you sent me will not fit my 2026 Ford Maverick lariat, hybrid. The bar sits down on top of the ACC unit in the center. The ACC unit sets about 3/4 of an inch too high to get the bar in place. If I remove the ACC unit, the bar fits, but I am unable to put the ACC unit back on the truck. Help.

@BobS that was listed under our tech tips for the base plate. Tech Tip: Installation may require the Adaptive Cruise Control sensor to be moved which could need a special bracket, and it will require recalibration of the Cruise feature.

@RobinH I’m am also thinking of the Demco baseplate for my maverick, so you gave no suggestion on how to re-calibrate the sensor. Does it have to go to a Ford dealer to re-set it? I have watched your video also on the install for the Roadmaster baseplate that you recommend but am trying to understand why you cut so many of those louvers, and why you just don’t remove that whole assembly, and does that void my Ford warranty?

@DanH The solution with Demco’s help was to shave the top of the ACC mount. No calibration needed. It was preventing the baseplate from going down far enough. Additionally, a jack under the Maverick frame horn and a long drift in one of the two bolt holes to pull it into position to install the bolts. Only lower louvres are removed. The upper remain intact & operational. Mine is in and works great. 2026 Maverick Lariat Hybrid
