Recommended Complete Flat Towing Setup for a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox With Active Shutters

Hi, I have a 2020 Chevy Equinox with active air shutters, as well as a Blue OX BX7420 tow bar. I am trying to determine what baseplate is compatible with my BX7420 tow bar and that will allow me to retain the active air shutters in my Equinox. Also, I am hoping you can recommend a wiring kit with diodes for this setup as well. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Unfortunately, those shutters are going to be a bit of an issue no matter what you choose ultimately. I recommend going with the etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e98965 paired with the Adapter for Blue Ox Tow Bar to etrailer Tabless Base Plates # e98986.
This is going to require you to remove the shutters unfortunately, but the alternative is no base plate kitsince none work with the shutters.
Along with that base plate kit and adapter, you're going to need a wiring harness # RO94FR for L, LS, and LT or # RO44FR the Premier with the charge line kit # RM-156-25.
Finally, you'll need a braking kit # RM-9400 with the stop light switch kit # RM-751489 and the 12V outlet kit # RM-9332.

Bryce, I appreciate your response. Are you certain that there are no kits that work with the active air shutters? I see a Curt C28FR that seems to indicate that it would fit vehicles with the lower active shutters and it would also work with my BX7420 tow bar. I want to be sure that I am not mistaken before I place an order. Thank you
