When you’re not towing, nothing bulky sticks out from the front end. The hidden design keeps a factory look, and the removable arms twist out in seconds. Connecting to your tow bar is simple—slide each arm into the receiver, twist until it locks, and secure it with the pin. When you’re done towing, just pull the pin, rotate the arm, and remove it. The twist-lock setup makes solo hookups fast and reliable whether you’re at home or on the road.
The base plate bolts directly to the chassis using included hardware, so there’s no welding required. Its sturdy steel design spreads towing forces evenly across the frame to help prevent stress on the suspension during long hauls. This base plate pairs directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a solid and secure connection. It’s also adaptable for Roadmaster tow bars with adapter RM-031 or RM-031-5, or for Demco tow bars with adapter DM9523041 (sold separately). Integrated mounting points let you add an electrical connector bracket so your wiring stays organized and easy to reach.

Fit well and works well. We have been towing our Equinox all over the country.
All parts of the assembly came as promised and the instructions for installation were clear and the installation, with two people, was easy for someone with experience working with tools on cars.
This did not fit. The welds were terrible and the bolt holes werent even close to lining up. It had to be welded on.

Hi Jimmy, I see that you have the 2024 Chevy Equinox. If you happen to have EV model, this would not be compatible.
Fairly easy installation and appreciate the easy to follow instructions . After one year, no problems and we’ve used it often until Covid-19 it, but we are comfortable using it for a long time in the future.
The baseplate fit perfectly and was fairly easy to install. What really helps are the videos that this company provides. I wouldn't even attempt an install without them. Saved a bunch of money and I know it is done right.
Watched several of etrailer's installation videos. Have not installed yet but videos will be a definite help. Quick shipping. Everything I need.
This model worked perfectly for my 21 equinox. Timely shipped and was able to have a local truck accessory shop install it a very reasonable price.

Still on use today only with a new owner of the car.
I had the base plate installed by the Chevy dealer we purchased the car from. They had to make a modification to the car, but all seams to be well and have towed it several thousand miles since.
One thing, PLEASE, OH PLEASE remove my name from your email list. Not a day goes by without an email from e-trailer that I could care less about. I have tried unsubscribeing to no avail. Your service is great and your people are very knowledgeable, thank you for great service.
I think it sucks that you wouldn't honor the $xxx price drop 1 day after l received my order.

Yeah, I think it's a bummer as well. But we no longer support price matches after the initial purchase.
Well satisfied with the base plate, it fit perfectly and towed the car 2200 miles. There was more work taking the front of the caroff than mounting the face plate. Good Product.
Be better if Blue Ox could figure out how to reduce the weight of the base plate.
What I like about the tow package is how well it hides itself in front of the toad Equinox and connection to the towbar of the motor home easy and quick. I did the installation myself and found it to be pretty straight forward with only a couple of bad photos that had bad angles and vague descriptions that should be made better. The mount also came with a couple of safety cables that seemed unnecessary but better to have and not need security. I was looking for the best concealed and secure product available at a fair price and found it here at etrailer.com
This unit is the second vehicle I installed a Blue Ox Base Plate. Easy instructions and video helped with the installation. Connection to the motor home Blue Ox tow bar is quick and easy. Removable arms are a must-keeping me from hitting legs when walking in front of vehicle. Would recommend this unit.
Tow Bar Base Plate was easy to install. A little disappointed in the overall design of the base plate but happy with my purchse.

Product working out well
This baseplate was easy to install on my 2019 Chevy Equinox and has provided excellent towing service during the full year since installed. I’m quite happy with the product and the installation instructions and videos provided by etrailer!

This tow bar has worked great, over the last year.

Always a good experience dealing with etrailer, product fit good and the video showing installation was excellent and a big help.
Did not fit properly! In the video they showed that you have to 'massage' the car with a hammer in about 1/8" but that was not nearly enough. I had slightly bend the sides of the baseplate out or open farther in addition to pounding in the part of the car it attached to and that was not easy. I thought Blue Ox was the gold standard of flat towing but this is not the case. The engineers should have designed it to fit properly. DO NOT BUY Blue Ox base plate if you are installing it yourself. If I had to do it over I would have went with a different brand
Good product Installation instructions and the video greatly helped with the installation. Working by myself I blocked the base plate as close to the position as possible and then installed ratchet straps to both sides and raised the base plate into position. Wiring kit was everything needed and worked great. Base plate and wiring kit was on a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox
Base plate is a game changer in our flat towing experience. Perfect product at a fair price. Shipped direct to our installer and in a timely manner.
