Which base plates fit a 2021 Equinox with active lower louvers?

Hi Dean,
The Curt Custom Base Plate Kit # C28FR is the only baseplate we have listed as confirmed fit for models with Lower Active Air Shutters. This baseplate is compatible with both Curt and Blue Ox tow bars. If you haven't picked out the rest of your flat towing components then I have the following recommendations:
Tow Bar: Curt Rambler Non-Binding Tow Bar # C26FR
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: For L, LS, LT models you'll want the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit # RM-15267. For Premier models you'll need Smart Diodes and would need part # RM38FR for LED lights or # RM26FR for incandescent lights.
Braking System: If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes then you'll want the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251. This system needs to tap into the brake light switch, which isn't useable on your Equinox so you'll need to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751489 for the indicator light to connect to.
If your motorhome has air brakes then you'll want the Demco Air Force One # SM99243 instead. This system won't need to tap into the brake light switch so you won't need a stop light switch.
The battery is going to drain while being flat towed so I recommend installing a charge line kit # RM-156-25 to prevent your battery from dying while towing.

Well now that I have bought the Curt 70108 base plate that you said would fit with the active lower louvers, I find that you gave me wrong information, it does not fit with active lower louvers. Does any base plate fit with active lower louvers. Waiting for Curt to get back to me as they seem confused also. The problem with active lower louvers is, they stick out further and prevent the base plate from going in far enough.

Thanks so much for the info. I already have a Blue Ox tow bar and an RVi3 brake system. I also have the 7 pin to 6 pin power cable so don't need to purchase the suggested kit but would still need wiring, what do the diodes do?
