Parts Needed To Flat Tow a 2024 Ford Escape

Question:

I have a 2024 Ford Escape coming and notice you arent showing 2024 base plate or wiring for towing 4 down. Is that just not up on website yet? Would 2023 items work? Thanks.

Since the 2024 Ford Escape is unchanged from the 2023 I see no reason you would not be able to use the Roadmaster Base Plate # RM77GR on the Hybrid trims. I recommend using the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar # RM-676 and the Accessory Kit # RM-9284-2 to connect your Escape. You will also need a Charge Line # RM-156-25 to prevent your battery from being drained down while towing.

I do recommend using either the Air Force One # DM26VR if your motor home has actuate brakes or Stay-IN-Play # DM86VR if your motorhome has hydraulic brakes. I feel the Demco are the best systems available with their ability to install under your hood and the fact they ensure the brakes are only activated when you are using your motorhomes brakes to stop.

You may also need one of the High-Low adapters from the list below to keep the tow bars within 3" of level while towing. We measured the tabs of the base plate at 17" when installed so you will need to compare that with the height of your receiver to verify if and what adapter you will need.

4" Rise/Drop # RM-048-4
6" Rise/Drop # RM-048-6
8" Rise/Drop # RM-048-8
10-1/4" Rise/Drop # RM-048-10
