Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster RV Tow Bar Cover. Now, this is designed to cover up your tow bar when you leave it on the back of your RV. And that's kind of nice because, tow bars aren't exactly the lightest things. And to take them on and off each time that you're not using them can be cumbersome.
And then you have to store them. Well, you can actually leave this on the back of your RV. And this is gonna protect it from the elements. It's made from heavy duty, Marine grade vinyl. And that also means that it's actually safe to run through car washes.
So, if it can hold up to a car wash, it's gonna have no problem holding up to rain, snow or any of the other elements. Now, not only is this gonna protect your tow bar from the elements, but I think another really nice benefit of this is being able to contain everything. You've probably noticed with the tow bars, once you're not really hooked up, you have your safety cables, your umbilicals and just sometimes a lot of accessories kind of floating around. And you gotta strap them down. Or find ways to where they're not dragging on the ground.
Well, this is a nice, clean, easy way to do that. And you don't have to worry about strapping 'em all in. You can simply slide this on. And it has a nice clip to kind of cinch this up, to keep it nice and tight. So if you are driving your RV around without the tow vehicle behind it, I think this is a really nice addition.
And I would say I'd highly recommend it. Just not only for that weather protection, but also just keeping everything clean. You don't have to worry about damaging your stuff, dragging along the road. And it's gonna look really nice doing it. Now you may see that the Roadmaster label here is printed very nicely and it looks really good. And it is designed to work with Roadmaster tow bars and a good majority of their tow bars. But, as you'll see here, it's also able to be used with a variety of different tow bars. So, right now we have our etrailer SD. And this works perfectly fine as well. Now, you can see this actually has a storage for the umbilical here. But we still have this dangling down. And I've also put our safety cables on the actual latches here. So, it does kind of do a pretty good job of keeping everything together. But that cover really just makes sure that this is all gonna hold it tight together. And again, you don't have to worry about this coming loose and dragging along the highway. So tow bars really do hold up the test of time. But sometimes your moving parts, like your shaft here, if they do start to get build up, this is really where you're gonna see it kind of be hard to be able to use your tow bar when you're ready. It can kind of corrode up, making all of the operations just a little bit tougher. And really shorten the lifespan of your tow bar. So, being able to cover this up and protect it is not only gonna make it look good and keep all of these in good shape, anything that's dragging. But it's also gonna maintain the lifespan of your tow bar..
etrailer was there for us when we need them! We had a car fire while towing and lost our cover.
It is just a lowly tow bar cover. But it is a great one. Slides easily over the bar and covers all parts well and the stretchy snap buckle closure is a great feature, too. It keeps the cover in place and the buckle is easy to close and open. I had bought a no-name cover before on Amazon which claimed to fit this tow-bar. Not. Very tight and not covering the entire bar. Would have ripped at the seams, quickly. So, often times, it pays to spend a little extra.

One year later, this towbar cover is still in great shape and keeps most of the road dust and dirt away. Would buy it again.

Very rugged and easy to use. We used it on a 2 1/2 month trip to Alaska, towing our Jeep Wrangler behind our RV (2019 Winnebago View). It was easy to connect and disconnect, even in non-optimal situations, like uneven ground. On even ground, one person can connect the Jeep up in about five minutes, and disconnect it in about two or three minutes.

2-1/2 months traveling around Alaska!? That sounds like a dream trip. I gotta know what your favorite part of the trip was, Gordon.
Bought this one to replace the same but a few years old cover. It’s a typical cover with the typical problems. Continued exposure to sun will make the material weak and eventually it will start tearing. But I prefer using a cover so there are limited options.
Great product it tows my Silverado with my 21 foot bass boat behind it with no problem
Fits perfect and arrived on time. Perfect timing to, rain showed up right after I put the cover on.

the service was excllent. It was nice to know who is taking care of your order and all of the shipping details.
Fits the Nighthawk perfectly
I've had to cover over a year. It's holding up pretty well in the central valley of California heat.
Roadmaster towbar cover is doing great after one year still going great.
The Roadmaster Base Plate and All Terrain Direct Connect Tow Bar worked perfect for my 6-Speed Subaru CrossTrek. Looking forward to exploring and traveling later this spring.
We have a 45 ft RV that has this at the back and we pull our Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail hawk with our bikes on the back of the Jeep. We hook up in about 7 minutes and unhook, at our destination, in about 2 minutes. Super easy and reliable.
Install went great once I got the bumper cover off. That was a major undertaking though. Be sure to put plenty of painters tape on everything, painted seams, headlights, etc before starting that piece. Other wise, the etrailer videos made the process go more smoothly. Thank you for that!
Pulled entire length of route 66 and then some. We had absolutely no issues with all of our etrailer equipment. Thanks for all of your help.
Delivered promptly. Exactly what I was looking for.
This fits the etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,500 lbs.

After a year it still looks new. Easy to clean. Good product.
After losing my Road Master tow bar bag,I called Etrailer and ordered a new one and had it sent to a camp ground. I got it within a couple of days. Thank you. I will order from Etrailer again if the need arises. Thanks Ron B.
Love the fact that I can put my specific vehicle information in and it tells me everything I need to set it up as a tow vehicle behind my motorhome.
Great communication all along the process from ordering to delivery. I even had to return items and very quick, efficient return response.
Excellent company! Excellent customer service! Excellent products!

The cover has protected it well. There was a couple of times that it drug on a steep incline which protected the tow package.
