Features to know about

Cools Down Fast in the Heat: 18,000 Btu of Non-Ducted Power

When the inside starts baking, the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner pushes out 18,000 Btu of cooling strength to bring temperatures down quickly. The whisper-quiet motor runs continuously instead of cycling on and off, keeping a steady flow of cool air moving through the space. Four fan speeds and a Turbo mode let you fine-tune airflow for both mild and scorching days.

Efficient Performance with Low Power Draw: 1,330 Watts at 115V

Keeping things cool doesn’t mean drawing heavy power. This system runs efficiently at 1,330 watts with a cooling power draw of 15.5 amps, so it works smoothly with modest electrical setups. Low-energy, eco, and gear modes manage consumption automatically, helping the AC run longer without overloading circuits or generators.

Built for Tough Conditions: Compact Design and R32 Refrigerant

Designed to handle harsh environments, the Chill Cube keeps performing even in extreme heat while staying environmentally forward with its R32 refrigerant that meets 2025 EPA regulations. The aerodynamic, compact housing—29" wide x 14-1/2" tall x 29-1/2" deep—frees up roof space for solar panels or storage and looks sharp in black.

Easy Upgrade to a Standard Opening: Fits 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" Roof Cutout

Swapping out an older rooftop unit is straightforward thanks to its standard 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" roof opening requirement and compatibility with roofs from 3-1/2" to 6" thick. At just 72.4 lbs, it’s manageable to handle on installation day without special equipment. The IP24 rating adds protection against outdoor exposure once it’s in place.

Comfort Control Made Simple: Compatible with Chill Cube Components

This AC unit connects only with Chill Cube components for a matched system that includes optional air distribution boxes and remote thermostat control. That setup lets you fine-tune temperature right where you need it—whether it’s by your bed or in another area—so you always get consistent comfort without extra wiring complexity.

Great ac! Easy for two people to lift to the rv roof even going up a ladder. The air is very cool and only got to 702 watts of power then dropped to 550 and eventually under 200 when the rv cooled….Our RV is only 24 ft so it didn’t take long to cool… Definitely worth the money to replace our original ac…It is very quiet. We couldn’t even hear it running!
Great product!

The shipping was fast, the Furrion chill cube arrived a day early. I had no problem installing the unit as it replaced another Furrion AC. I am upgrading to this unit so that I may run this unit off my inverter and batteries and solar. So far the unit is quieter than my other unit and I do like the variable speed and the remote control. I haven't tried to run it on the batteries yet as I am still installing the system and components.

Very efficient very cold

Very fast shipping, via UPS. The install was super easy, as you only use the power wires, and none of the existing control wires. Inside air deflector is much smaller and thinner than the old one, and the unit works as well as I hoped it would. Bay was really responsive, and helpful in getting it shipped.

Super quiet and cools quickly! Love it!

If you are looking for a quiet RV air conditioner. The Furrion Chill Cube is your solution. The Chill Cube is easy to install and does a great job of cooling our camper (tested it in 95-degree weather with no shade). Was watching TV and realized I didn't have to turn on the stereo to hear the TV.

by:

The best of the best for efficiency. I was going to get an easy start for my 15 year old unit and decided to get the Chill Cube instead!

by:

Cools very fast. Tiny power draw compared to the 13.5k dometic duotherm 2 units I had, and much quieter. Massive upgrade and easy install.

Havn’t installed it yet, but shipping was super fast.

I replaced a Coleman Mach 15,000 Btu ducted air conditioner with the Furrion Chill Cube 18,000 Btu ductless unit and ductless air distribution box in my 26’ travel trailer and I could not be happier. The single Coleman unit just couldn’t keep my RV cool during the heat of the day and summer really hasn’t started here in Texas. I’m living in the RV while i build my house and I want to be comfortable.I chose to abandon/block off the air ducts in the RV because they are inefficient and restrict air flow. The installation took less than an hour and wow what a difference. It’s much quieter, and it blows out tons of ice cold air. The diffuser moves the air out and down so the entire space inside the RV gets air movement, way more air movement than the ceiling air ducts. And this unit pulls half the amps the Coleman unit pulled. My RV is literally freezing cold, this setup is the ticket. Thanks Andy for your help and thanks eTrailer for the exceptional service and support.

Purchased a ducted one a year ago for a fifth wheel that is in south Texas. It works amazingly. The bedroom unit is newer but we decided to replace it with this one because they work so well

Extremely happy with the Chill Cube, quietest ac we’ve had, most energy efficient. Cools our entire 40’ motorhome by itself in the summer in Florida. Uses half the power of the oem installed unit’s. Highly recommend.

  • What All do I Need to Add the Furrion Chill 18,000 BTU to My 2017 Airstream with Ducted System?
Hello Hart, Making the switch to the Furrion Chill? You won’t be disappointed! It’s quieter, more efficient, and cools you down faster, that’s what I call a triple threat. For your 2017 Airstream with a ducted system, you’ll want the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner with Air Distribution Box - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - Black # FR39TD. This setup includes everything you need to get up and running. Just a heads-up: with the transition to R32 refrigerant this year, the AC systems were...

  • What is the Minimum Roof Thickness to Install the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner
Hey Anthony, The Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner # LC22BX requires a roof thickness of 3.5" to 6" according to the Furrion installation instructions. Since your roof is less thick than this you'll need to install some bracing into your fiberglass. I'm attaching an installation video where Shane added some bracing to a Ford Transit in order to install the MaxxFan Deluxe # MA00-06200K that you can use as an example.

  • Does The Furrion Chill Cube Have Freeze Prevention
Hi G; there isn't a specific anti-freeze mode or freeze prevention setting built into the Chill Cube. Instead, preventing evaporator freeze-up is one of the advantages of its variable-speed inverter design. Since the compressor can continuously adjust its output to match the cooling demand, it's much less likely to cool the evaporator enough for ice to form during normal operation. Because of that, I wouldn't expect freezing to be an issue under normal operating conditions. The # LC22BX...

  • Can Furrion Chill Cube Replace Coleman Mach 15 AC
Hey Mike! You can replace your Coleman Mach 15 with the Furrion Chill Cube. However, you're going to need the entire system since it uses the new R32 refrigerant. Installation is really straightforward, you can check it out in the video I attached below. Is this a ductless setup? Assuming it is you can choose from the following: -Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ductless - 18,000 Btu - Black # FR27TD -Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution...

  • Recommended Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner
Hey Bob! The Chill Cubes like item # LC22BX do not have a heat pump. This may change upon their release but as of 11/18/2024 the answer to that question is going to be no. There's a couple of different options of the Chill Cube as far as ducted and ductless set ups go. The item # LC22BX is designed for a ductless set up. The item # LC34DX is set up to work with ducted systems. So you'll need to decide which way you want to go before purchasing because they won't go both ways. I am not...

  • Can I Still Control My Furnace With the Furrion Chill Cube Remote Thermostat?
Hello Derek, Great question! Yes, you will be able to hook up your current furnace to the Furrion Chill Cube. I got to go down for the unveiling of the new AC unit when our video team was shooting the one shot. My favorite feature has to be the remote thermostat, it has a follow me feature. With that feature you can put it anywhere in the camper and it will keep cooling off til it reaches the desired temperature to that exact spot. I was also impressed with the durability of the shroud....

  • Can Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner Replace 9k Btu AC On Camper
Hi Peter; if the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner # LC22BX was a standard replacement AC it would be overkill for a 9k replacement. You might think it would be more efficient but a significantly higher capacity can lead to more cycling and potentially extra power used compared to the smaller unit. However, the Chill Cube has a whisper-quiet mode that runs continuously so there won't be the same on-and-off cycles other higher capacity units would have. The power draw is really low...

  • Installing Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner on 1960's Airstream Trailer
Hello again Peter; the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner # LC22BX will fit in the existing 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" opening from your old AC. If you have smaller dimensions you will have to enlarge the opening to match. Regarding the roof thickness, if you don't meet these requirements you can add in wood or other material around the opening to make it thick enough for installation. You will need to follow the wiring diagrams and instructions from the manual to connect the power.

  • Does Furrion Chill Cube RV AC Unit Have Thermostat
Hey Craig, the Furrion Chill Cubes like the par t# LC22BX that you referenced have a thermostat which allows you to select at what temperature it turns off/on just like in your house. This specific part number does not have a thermostat as it's just the top unit but the part # FR99TD comes with a lower vent assembly that has a thermostat built into it.
