Will this hitch Fit a 2016 Golf R?

The # 306-X7309 only fits the GTI models of the 2016 VW Golf. The equivalent hitch for your Golf R is the # 306-X7333, but this only has a 1-1/4" receiver. Unfortunately, there is not a hitch available with a 2" receiver for the R. Unless you are going to use an accessory that requires a Class II hitch, the Class I hitch from Curt # C11564 will save you some money.
