Is there a specific reason why part C11564 wont fit a 2020 VW GTI? Bumper trim maybe?

We have the EcoHitch part # 306-X7375 which is a confirmed fit for your 2020 Volkswagen Golf GTI and would be what you'd want if you wanted a 2 inch hitch or the # 306-X7376 for a 1-1/4 inch hitch. The Curt hitch you mentioned is for older models of the Golf which is why it does not fit your GTI.
