I have a 2022 Hyundai Palisade without the tow package. I already got my trailer hitch installed, but I need all the trailer wiring and a brake controller. What do you recommend?

The first thing you need is the 4-way wiring harness, Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # CU94FR. Once this is installed your trailer will mirror the brake lights, signal lights, and running lights of your 2022 Hyundai Palisade. This wiring harness does not require any wire splicing.
The next piece will allow your trailer to mirror the reverse lights on your tow vehicle, power the brake controller, and provide a 12V hot lead. The Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, part # ETBC7, will allow you to use your 4-way connector as needed while providing you with the 7-way connection.
The last piece you need is the brake controller. I like a proportional controller. It applies your trailer brakes with the same force as your tow vehicle. The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional, part # 90195, and the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers, part # TK78VR, will work together to provide the trailer brake function.
