Question:
I’m in need of a 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation. Also a recommended controller that’ll work with this kit? This will be for a 2024 Hyundai Tucson Limited AWD. I already have a 4 pin flat connector on my vehicle. Thanks

Hey Taris! Is your 4-way a factory connector? If you have the factory tow package, and the 4-way is plugged into a connector like the one in the attached picture, you can add a 7-way with the Curt # C68JR. If you have an aftermarket 4-way, or if you want to save a little money, you can use the # ETBC7L you were looking at instead. Both will upgrade your connector and wiring so you can install a brake controller.
For a brake controller I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR which is incredibly reliable and easy to use. The main unit installs behind the dash so only the control knob will be visible in your Tucson. This keeps it out of the way and also gives it an OEM appearance. The knob controls the braking power and acts as the manual override. If you need anything else feel free to reply below.

Hey Taris, did you find out if your 4-way connector is factory-installed or aftermarket? I'm curious to know which upgrade kit you decided to go with and how the installation went for you. Your experience could really help others in a similar situation!
