Can you get the 7000 pound Ranger towing capacity with this hitch and proper harness? If not what would be the maximum towing capacity?

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e63ZR that fits your 2022 Ford Ranger has a maximum towing capacity of 6,000lbs without a weight distribution hitch and 8,000lbs with a weight distribution hitch. I do recommend contacting your Ford dealer with your Vin number to determine the exact tow rating for your Ranger as it will vary based upon factory options. If they say you can tow the 7,000lbs you would need to use a weight distribution hitch like the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET with this receiver.
When you talk to the Ford dealer they will also be able to tell you if your Ranger has the 4-wires ran under the drivers dash for a Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR. If you do have this wiring a T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 22124 will give you the 7-way connector on the back of your Ranger. If you do not have the brake controller wiring under the dash you will need the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers # 5506 to wire in the brake controller.
