The hitch receiver that I recommend is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C73DR. This hitch receiver has a maximum tongue weight of 525 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs. or 4000 when using a weight distribution system. Next, you will need a wiring harness for your vehicle.

You did not indicate if you have a factory tow package, so I will provide you with recommendations for both options. You can check to see if you have the factory tow package by looking underneath the rear of your vehicle on the driver's side. There will be a plug with a white cap behind your rear tire near the bumper.

If you do not have the plug, you do not have the factory tow package. The trailer wiring I recommend if you have the factory tow package is Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 56083. It plugs in underneath your vehicle and it terminates with a 4-way connector, no cutting or splicing of wires necessary.

My recommendation for a RX 350 without a tow package is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 118467. The connection for this wiring harness will be inside the rear of your vehicle. But it is also a plug and play setup, you will not have to cut or splice any wires.

The Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, part # ETBC7, will add the power for a brake controller, the mirroring of your reverse lights, and a 12V power source. It also comes with a bracket to attach it to your hitch receiver.
