How to Determine if 2012 Lexus RX 350 has Factory Tow Package for Wiring Harness

Question:

Say, I thought that you could tell whether or not the Lexus had a tow package by looking under the left front wheel well to see if there was an additional oil cooler in there. Is this true or not?

Though the best way to verify 100 percent if your 2012 Lexus RX 350 is to place a quick call to your Lexus dealer with your VIN, you can also look under the bumper to the left (driver's side) and see if you have a panel that can be removed where the tow package plug will be. It is possible the additional oil cooler is another way to tell though I would not be able to verify this.

If you take a look under the bumper of your '12 RX 350 and remove small square panel and see the port that looks like the one in the accompanying photo, you have the tow package and will be able to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118252.

I have added a link to a video install of this harness on a 2012 Lexus RX 350 (which is where the photo I added came from) and in the first 20 seconds or so it will show you exactly where to look.

You can than tow with either the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75676 or Curt Trailer Hitch # C13143.
