Recommended Wiring Harness for 2015 Lexus RX350 Without Factory Tow Package

Question:

Had a hitch put on the above and the wiring harness is not getting power. Guy who put it on says Lexus needs to put it on their computer to get power. Dealer says no. I am seeing something on line about a converter box. Can you help? 2015 Lexus RX350 not factory pre-wired

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 56083 is only a fit for a vehicle with the factory tow package. If you have the factory tow package, then you may have fuses that are missing or bad. The dealer should not need to do anything.

If you don't have the factory tow package, then that harness will not work. You will instead want the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118255. This harness has the Modulite that sends the power to your 4-way harness. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
