Question:
I bought the curt trailer lights 52301, but am not happy with the brightness. Do you recommend anything with similar size, length, width, LED but better intensity? Thanks

I may have a solution for you, but we don't have anything that's going to be an exact match. With that said, you might be able to use the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn - Submersible - 9 Diodes - Clear Lens # STL59RCB which will give you a bright LED light that has stop, tail and turn signal functions. This doesn't have a trailer plug that can be used to power it but you could wire 2 of these lights to the Hopkins Endurance 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector - Trailer End - Ergonomic Design # HM48110 using some 12 gauge wiring # 12-1-1 and butt connectors # DW05745-5. This would allow you to use your vehicle's trailer plug in and give you a much brighter LED light.
These lights are 12" long x 1" wide compared to the 7" long Curt Auxilairy LED Indicators # C53201 you mentioned, but they'd do a great job if you've got the space. If you can let me know what you're mounting these on I may be able to come up with a better solution for you. I've also linked one of our helpful articles on wiring a 4 way plug for you if you want to go this route.

Hey Brian, Love this recommendation! Hey I'm getting the Thule epos 3 and wanted to get it without lights and put LED lights on and attach them to my Tesla Y 2020 with its 7 pin socket. I looked at the Curtis lights which seem pretty dim. These seem great but I'm not sure if too long to attach in a good place on that rack. Could you recommend lights that could hook up to the 7 pin socket and if I have to do wiring would prefer to wire directly to something that could go to 7 pin rather than wire to 4 pin and use an adapter if possible. Thanks! And love etrailer.com!
