Wow - what a rack. This rack is extremely well build and solid! I was looking for a flat tow supported rack that would hold our 2 Velotric Discover 3 bikes and be easy to work with. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. Thanks to Etrailer for all the helpful information to help with the selection, and Nikki R. did an awesome job proactively communicating with me during the shipment! Hey Daniel! The Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack # KU89SR can be used on trailers as long as the hitch is attached to the chassis/frame. Since you have a frame mounted hitch on your 5th wheel it is compatible and will work well.
The bike capacity is reduced to 80 lbs per tray when used on a trailer, and Kuat also requires the Fender Strap Kit # KU43VR to help keep the bikes secure during travel.

To carry it with your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's 2" hitch, I highly recommend the Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack for 2 Bikes w/ Ramp # KU89SR. The Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack for 2 Bikes w/ Ramp - 2" Hitches - Sandy Black # KU89SR will fit any 2" receiver, but you do want to be aware of the tongue weight capacity of that hitch. Class 3,4, and 5 hitches are fine and you are good to go, but there are some Class 2 hitches with 2" receivers as well.
These will typically have 200 pounds of tongue weight capacity and can be used with this rack, but with the rack weighing 68 pounds, you will only have 132 pounds available... view full answer...
Hello Kelley, thanks for reaching out. While the Kuat Piston ION # KU89SR is a very solid rack, I have concerns about the rear fender on the Velotric Fold 2 Plus bike obstructing the wheel mount. With 20" wheels it would be pretty tight. The luggage rack would easily clear, but I am not confident about that fender clearance, so the best bet will be to go with something different.

Not every rack that is rated for an RV is rated for a travel trailer, and using a rack that isn't approved for that application can result in damage or failure and can also void the rack's warranty.
