While we do not have any installation pictures of the Curt # C99FR on a 2020 Toyota Highlander yet, it has been confirmed by the manufacturer as a fit on your 2020 model.
If you're going to be towing with your 2020 Toyota Highlander you will need a wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball to complete your towing package. For a wiring harness I recommend using the 4-Pole Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # C59496 since we've determined that the harnesses and converter boxes tend to be a bit more reliable. For a ball mount and hitch ball I recommend using the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 since it provides you with everything else you'll need to tow a trailer with 2 ball mounts of various rise/drops, 2 hitch balls (1-7/8" and 2"), hitch pins, clips and a carrying bag to keep everything in.
I've linked some installation and review videos of these products for you to have a look at if you're interested.

I appreciate the prompt response. I don’t know much about this. I’m going to order from your guys and get it professionally installed. So would you say the wiring system in the 2020 highlander is not delicate and wouldn’t require the more expensive wiring harness? I want what’s best for my car and the future life of it since I plan on keeping it for at least 10-15 years. So if spending a bit more means less problems down the line, then it’s worth it. Of course I’d love to save as much money as possible. Appreciate your feedback and honesty.

What’s the difference between the wiring kit you recommended and this kit, besides the price. #119250KIT. I see this one doesn’t require splicing into the car’s electrical system. So is it better for the car overall?
