Yes, the Curt T-Connector # C56336 that you referenced is exactly what you want for your 2018 Dodge Durango without the tow package.

If you don't already have a trailer hitch then I recommend going with the Curt Class III # C13182 which is easy to install and will allow you to keep your spare tire installed under the vehicle if it is the 18" size.

To round out a towing package you also need a ball mount like the Curt # C45036. I recommend checking out the linked ball mount article to ensure that the 2" drop is correct for your towing application.
