  • Recommended Equipment Needed for Towing with a 2017 Honda Pilot
Both the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13146 that you are interested in and the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e98840 are identical in weight capacities and installation as well so either one will do a great job. Since you are interested in the Curt option I recommend going ahead with that trailer hitch. You will need to note that neither of these options will fit your 2017 Honda Pilot if you have the full size spare tires with a wheel diameter larger than 18 inches. This will work great with the 24x59...

  • Class III Trailer Hitch for 2016 Subaru Outback that Does Not Require Drilling
I do have a 2 inch hitch that is a no-drill installation for your 2016 Subaru Outback. It is the Curt # C13410. These hitches are getting very popular with Subaru owners. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you. Although the instructions for Class III trailer hitches such as # 75673 for your 2016 Subaru Outback state that an access hole will need to be drilled it is possible to avoid that if you can access the inside of the frame another way. In this case it means...

  • Parts Needed to Use Tow Dolly with 2018 Fleetwood Discovery LXE 38K
Basically all you'd need is the Roadmaster Tow Dolly part # RM-2050-1 and then a brake controller installed in your 2018 Fleetwood Discovery LXE 38K to activate the dolly brakes and you'd be good. If you don't have a ball mount with a 2 inch ball you would need that as well. For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake...

  • Recommended Trailer Ball Mount for 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
The correct ball mount for your vehicle will depend on the height of the hitch on your Outlander. When we installed a hitch like # C13398 on your vehicle, we found that the inside top of the receiver tube was about 11 inches above the ground. Since the average trailer coupler height is between 16-18 inches, you'll want a ball mount that provides about 6 inches of rise. Since the # C45036 you'd looked at provides a 2 inch drop, it wouldn't be a good choice. To figure out the exact rise...

  • Trailer Hitch Availability for a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
We do have a trailer hitch available for your 2018 Chrysler Pacifica hybrid. The Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13383 is a confirmed fit for both the Platinum and Premium hybrid models. If you will be using this hitch to tow a trailer then you will also need a hitch ball, ball mount, and trailer wiring. The Curt Class III Ball Mount with 2" Ball - 2" Drop # C45036 is a great option to use but you will want to consult the attached ball mount article to determine if the 2"...

  • Trailer Towing Setup Recommendation for 2014 Buick Enclave
You are on the right track! The Draw Tite hitch part # 75528 is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Buick Enclave as well as the trailer wiring kit # 118270. The wiring mount part # 18144 will also give you a place to mount the 4-way that bolts to the bumper. The ball mount part # C45036 that you referenced is would also work well if you need 2 inch drop. I attached a help article that details how to pick out a ball mount drop as well.

  • How to Select Correct Ball Mount to Keep Pop-Up Camper Trailer Level When Hitched
When selecting a ball mount and 2-inch hitch ball for towing your pop-up camper you will want to choose a ball mount that allows the hitched trailer to remain level. The article I linked for you shows how to choose the right 2-inch ball mount with the correct rise or drop to keep your trailer level. Level trailers tow much better. I linked our page for 2-inch ball mounts, some of which include the hitch ball, such as Curt # C45036 which offers 2-inches of drop. If you choose a separate...

  • Towing Capacity for 2016 Chevrolet Traverse without Factory Tow Package
When looking at weight capacities of a towing setup, you will always be limited by a system's weakest component. I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2016 Chevrolet Traverse and saw that for a front-wheel drive model that does not have the factory trailer towing package, the maximum trailer weight is 2,000 pounds. As you mentioned in your question, the factory towing package would have bumped it up to 5,200 pounds. So with your Traverse that does not have the factory tow...

If you refer to the linked photo taken from the written instructions (that are linked for you) you'll see how the hitch fits nicely under the rear bumper cover. I also included an article with hitch installation tips. All needed hardware comes included with the hitch and the instructions tell you the specific tools you'll...

The SilentACT Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Lock - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # SHP2082 is another great option for ball mount, cargo carrier and other accessories. • Will the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13380 Fit a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse LT
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13380 that you referenced will fit all models of the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse including your LT. I confirmed this with my contact at Curt. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver that has a 5,000 lb Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) rating and a 750 lb Tongue Weight (TW) rating. When use with a Weight Distribution (WD) system the GTW rating is raised to 7,500 lbs but the 750 lb TW remains the same. You will want to verify the weight ratings of your Traverse...

  • Will a Trailer Hitch Interfere with the Foot Tailgate Activation on a 2018 Mercedes GLA 250
Installing a trailer hitch, like the Curt # C13197 that you referenced, on a vehicle like your 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA-250 with the foot activated tailgate will slightly interfere with the activation. Typically you will wave your foot right where the hitch receiver sits. When you install a trailer hitch you will simply need to kick straight out to the left or right of the receiver openening to activate your tailgate. Installation instructions have been attached for you to reference, but...

It will really depend on if you know the height of your trailer coupler and if you have any kind of lift or altered ride height on your 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. When we installed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75521 on a 2011 Silverado 1500 we found the inside top of the receiver to be 19" from the ground. • Choosing a Ball Mount for 2013 Toyota Venza with Class III Trailer Hitch to Tow Boat Trailer
A Class III ball mount is a great option for you with the Class III trailer hitch installed on your 2013 Toyota Venza. Since your boat trailer has a 2 inch coupler, you will certainly want a hitch ball that has a 2 inch diameter ball in order to seat the coupler properly. Another thing to consider when choosing a ball mount is the height of the hitch receiver and the height of the trailer coupler. You will want to choose a ball mount that will allow you to tow the trailer level. The...

Both hitches made for your 2004 Lexus GX 470, Draw-Tite # 75155 and Curt # 13445, are welded together as one-piece so I think what you are looking for is actually a 2-inch ball mount that slides into the square receiver opening and lets you tow. This is also sometimes called a draw bar and is what the hitch ball bolts onto. You can see one in the linked photo and an article on how to select one is also linked for you. A ball mount should be selected so that the trailer sits level to the...

Yes, if you had the Curt Class III hitch part # C13201 installed on your 2014 Dodge Journey the ball mount part # C45036 would be a confirmed fit. It would provide you with 2 inches of drop for towing your trailer. The other trailer hitches, like the etrailer.com # E98843, have more of a width issue but since the EcoHitch has a higher crossmember I believe that the larger diameter of your spare will be an issue. • Will the Curt Hitch Ball # C40002 Fit in the Ball Mount Included in the Kit # C45036

The 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # C40002 that you asked about has a shank diameter of 1" as well so it will fit just fine. You will just want to make sure that you get the nut torqued before towing. Please keep in mind that the 1-7/8" hitch ball has a weight capacity of 3,500 lbs so the ball mount that is rated for 7,500 lbs will have the same capacity as the lower hitch ball.
