I have a 2007 Winnabago Adventurer Model 38J. I want to flat tow my 2014 Ford Edge. I have a ball and plug socket on the Winnabago. I need everything else. What is a cost effective way to go.

If you have a 2014 Ford Edge with a 4 cylinder engine, it will need to be towed on a tow dolly like the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes - 4,250 lbs # RM-2050-1. This system does require the Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector - Trailer End # PK12706 to allow trailer brake function which you will need. You can also tow 6 cylinder models this way if you choose.
If you have a 6 cylinder model, then you can flat tow your vehicle with a speed restriction of 65 mph according to the owners manual. To do this, I recommend you start with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX2628. Then you can use the Blue Ox Acclaim Tow Bar - A-Frame - Car Mount - 5,000 lbs # BX4330.
For your wiring, I recommend the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # HM56001 which will plug into your vehicle's factory wiring behind each tail light. There is no splicing required with this harness.
For your supplemental braking system, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251. This is a great system that is extremely reliable and easy to use. After the initial install and adjustment, this system becomes plug and play. There is not need to change anything for this system to work properly.
