I attached a picture that shows where the spare part # MPG465 would mount on the Malone MicroSportXT Trailer # MPG460XT that has a retractable tongue.
The crossbar spread for this is between 44 and 63 inches normally which might get slightly reduced when carrying the spare, but in most cases there's no need for that much of a spread. view full answer...
I'll start off by saying that it isn't recommended that you add longer crossbars to the Malone MicroSport XT Trailer # MPG460XT because adding too much weight outside of the wheels will effect the stability of the trailer when cornering. With that being said, the crossbars that are included on the trailer will allow you to use your Thule Hull-A-Port XT # TH848 spread out to acommodate the 4 kayaks you're wanting to carry without any issue.
However, I believe I have a better solution... view full answer...

Both the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer # Y08107 and Malone MicroSportXT Trailer # MPG460XT will work for you to carry your two Hobie kayaks, but I recommend the MicroSport XT because it is the better value of the two trailers.

I can definitely help come up with a way to make the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer # Y08129 as theft resistant as possible but I can't safely recommend you replace the hardware that secures the coupler or hinge to the trailer tongue with hitch locks of any kind. You have to use the included hardware otherwise the warranty of the trailer would be voided and you'd be potentially unsafe to yourself and other motorists.
So for the latch of the coupler you could use a trigger latch... view full answer...

According to the owner's manual I looked up online for a 2011 Ford Edge, front-wheel drive version can be towed using a tow dolly, but an all-wheel drive version cannot. The reason given in the manual for why it cannot was that doing so would damage the AWD system.
To flat tow your Edge, I highly recommend the Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes - Tilt Bed Frame # DM9713093 or Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes - Foldable # DM9713045 because of how much easier they are... view full answer...
Yes, your 14' Long Hobie Pro Angler Kayak will fit on the Malone MicroSport LowBed 2 Tier Trailer # MPG464-LBT.
If you're needing a kayak carrier then I recommend the Malone MegaWing Fishing Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # MPG207 which fits around the crossbars and has a 150 lb weight capacity.
Please note that you'll want to put some weight on the other side of the trailer as well to help make sure it sits nice and level. view full answer...
I took a look at the online version of your owner's manual and it looks like you can use a tow dolly for your 2014 Kia Sorento GDI as long as it is 2WD. If you have a 4WD then it needs to be towed with all 4 wheels off of the ground. I do recommend checking with your owner's manual or your nearest Kia dealer to confirm this.
For tow dolly applications we have the Roadmaster Tow Dolly # RM-2050-1 and # RM-2000-1. The major differences between these 2 options is that the former has a weight... view full answer...
I'll start off by saying that the only trailer with a folding tongue other than the Malone # MAL83FR is the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer - 14-1/2' Long - 78" HD Crossbars - 500 lbs # Y08129, which is 14 feet long and has a capacity of 500-lbs. The issue you are likely going to have going with either of these two trailers is that neither one of them will allow you to mount the Plastic Storage Box # MPG536, which is only designed to be mounted on trailers with A-frames; it can also... view full answer...
The least expensive option we can offer you to transport the Sun Dolphin Water Tender Dinghy is with the CE Smith Multi Sport Boat Trailer part # CE48810. This boat trailer will be perfect for you as it comes with everything you need to hit the road/water except for some ratchet straps to secure the boat to the trailer. The bunk boards are adjustable so you can float the boat right up onto the trailer and it has a hand winch so you never have to do any heavy lifting.
I did some research... view full answer...
The Kar Kaddy SS, part # DM9713045, does not have a lock out on the hydraulic brakes to keep them from engaging while in reverse. With that being said in most cases you won't need one because the dolly is only 615 pounds unloaded which won't likely put enough resistance to engage the brakes. It's not recommend to be backed up anyway and definitely don't back up with the vehicle on the dolly. Since the Kar Kaddy swivels at both the platform and the coupler it'll get pretty squirrely and... view full answer...
I verified with Malone that the length (or height when it is stood up for storage) of the Malone XtraLight LowMax Trailer - Detachable Tongue # MAL83FR when the tongue is detached is 7 feet 4 inches.
When the tongue is attached it measures 11 feet 3 inches, so it saves you just about 4 feet of space, which is going to make it much easier to store than other trailers.
I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Malone XtraLight LowMax Trailer -... view full answer...
The Malone MicroSportXT Trailer - 13' Long - 78" Crossbars - Retractable Tongue - 800 lbs # MPG460XT has crossbars that are 12 inches above the frame. My contact at CE Smith said that on their Trailer for Boats and PWCs # CE48810 the distance from the center of the ball coupler to the center of the axle is 120-inches. Overall length of the trailer, from front of coupler to rear of frame, is 140-inches and the distance from the ground up to the bottom of the frame is 18-inches. Please refer to the linked photo for illustration of these dimensions. view full answer...
I prefer recommending a tow dolly for towing vehicles like your 2012 Jeep Liberty Sport behind and RV as the install is much less invasive, the dolly can easily be transferred to future vehicles unlike some of the flat towing components, and by the time you price everything out plus install time the dolly ends up costing less like with the Roadmaster Tow Dolly part # RM-2050-1.
This dolly is easy to load, has a steering axle, and comes with brakes so it's a really great option. To activate... view full answer...
The Apogee Adapt-X 500 folding utility trailer, like # AT74FR does not include a spare tire holder. You can certainly add one, but the problem lies in finding a spot to install a spare tire without interfering with the trailer's ability to fold.
The best spot to mount a spare tire carrier would be the front wall of the trailer bed, above the trailer tongue as shown in the provided photo. I'd recommend using the Fulton Hi-Mount tire carrier, part # FSTC1000301. The carrier provides enough... view full answer...
The CE Smith Multi Sport Plus Boat and Kayak Trailer w/ Bunks # CE48870 that you referenced was designed to be used with boats that are up to 14 feet in length like what you have now. I attached a picture that shows the range of where the winch mount/bow roller can sit on the trailer as well. It would easily be adjustable enough to accommodate your boat that has 12 feet from transom to bow eye. The bow roller and winch are also vertically adjustable as well on the mount so you can tailor... view full answer...
The Malone MicroSport Trailer for 2 Kayaks # MPG461G2 that you referenced comes with straps that will securely hold kayaks to the carriers. They would definitely not fall out on the highway. Aerodynamics of the trailer are really great too as the tow vehicle basically will punch a hole in the wind as you are driving which this then follows through without creating much wind resistance.
The trailer won't sway either. It's very stable actually. There isn't a specific scenario that this... view full answer...

The correct spare wheel and tire for the Demco Kar Kaddy 3 Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes part # DM9713046 is the ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 14" White Mod Wheel for Demco Kar Kaddy Tow Dolly part # DM5965. The Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 14" White Wheel part # AM32161 won't work as the wheels need to have a specific offset for the Demco Kar Kaddy 3 and the Karrier option does not come with this offset. Unfortunately, the wheels for the Demco Kar Kaddy 3 are rather unique... view full answer...

The best tow dolly we have for vehicle's with limited ground clearance is the Demco Kar Kaddy 3 Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes part # DM9713046. In order to determine if this tow dolly will work with your 2012 Toyota Prius you will need to make a template using the attached photo and then place it under the vehicle but I don't think you will have an issue.
The Demco Kar Kaddy 3 is one of the best tow dollies on the market because of its disc brakes for maximum stopping power and its low... view full answer...
Since you're needing to transport 3 kayaks weighing a combined total of 190 lbs you're going to need to use a watersport trailer to accomplish this. All of the roof racks that fit your 2010 GMC Yukon XL have a max weight rating of 165 lbs. Even without adding the weight of the actual kayaks carriers you will be well over this.
For your application I recommend using the Malone MicroSport Trailer for 4 Kayaks # MPG462G2 because it comes with everything you need to carry up to 4 kayaks... view full answer...

There is limited clearance between the wheel and the lug nuts so you'll want to use a thin walled 21 mm socket to mount the wheels that come with the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer # Y08129. I wouldn't get too hung up on brand but just make sure it's a thin wall socket and you'll be totally fine. These are easily found at auto parts stores. view full answer...
In order to attach your Yakima HullyRoller Kayak Carrier to the square crossbars on your Malone MicroSport Trailer # MPG460G you can simply add the Universal MightMounts # Y03590. These will attach to the HullyRoller cradles/wheels at one end and provide mounting hardware at the other that can accommodate crossbars as wide as 4 inches or as tall as 1-1/2 inches.

The big difference between the two trailers is the XtraLight trailers like part # MPG526G-V were made to be lighter weight for smaller vehicles and have lower weight capacities. This weighs 164 lbs and has a 400 lb capacity whereas the MicroSport # MPG461KB weighs 240 lbs and has an 800 lb capacity. So it comes down to what you are looking to carry and your tow vehicle which would make most sense to go with. view full answer...
A tire's weight rating is per tire. For example Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes 4,250 lbs # RM-2050-1, uses # RM-200330-80 tires which has a maximum load capacity of 1,570 lbs each. With 2 tires used, the load capacity of the tires doubles to 3,140 lbs. Since the # RM-2050-1 has an overall load capacity of 4,250, if you subtract the load capacity of the tires, 1110 lbs is the left over towing capacity of the tow dolly itself.
Overall, the dolly's capacity is not equal to... view full answer...
