Question:

I have a 2014 Tiffin Allegro Breeze. I want to flat tow my 2013 Chevy Spark - manual trans. Im thinking of the Blue Ox Base Plate - BX1722 with the Blue Ox BX7365 Alpha Tow Bar. Will this work - and what other accessories should I buy for towing.....the Breeze already has the Airforce braking system.

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1722 and the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 will work well for you to flat tow your 2013 Chevrolet Spark. The other components needed to flat tow are a lighting kit and a supplemental braking system. The Alpha tow bar includes the needed safety cables.

For a lighting kit, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This kit includes the diodes and wiring needed to splice into your Spark's stop and taillight circuits so the vehicle's lights will work in sync with the Breeze's lights. I've attached a diagram showing how this kit will be wired from a motor home with combined wiring to a towed vehicle with separate lighting, like the Spark. Also included in this kit is a wiring extension that will allow you to connect a 6-Way round connector at the front of the vehicle with a 7-Way round connector on your motor home. If the Breeze does not have a 7-Way connector, feel free to let me know and I'll make a more tailored recommendation for you.

Since your Allegro Breeze is already set up with the coach-side component SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System, to set your Spark up to work with the system you will want the SMI Second Vehicle Kit for Air Force One # SM99209. This kit includes all of the necessary installation components for the vehicle-side of the system, as well as an instructional DVD. If you also need the air line connection from the coach to the vehicle, you will want the SMI Replacement Air Jumper for SMI Air Force One # SM99666.

I've attached a review video of the Alpha tow bar for you. Also linked are help articles on flat towing. One of these articles includes how to choose a high-low adapter in order to tow your vehicle level. The tab height of the # BX1722 on the Spark is 22-1/2 inches. You will just need to measure the hitch height on your motor home to know what size adapter you need. All of the high-low adapters are linked for you.
