Question:
We have a heavy pontoon trailer with a triple axle. The trailer is a 10,000 trailer with three 3500# Rockwell TA-35 torsion axles and 10inch tires. We are looking to add disc brakes to this. First, is it possible? We are wondering if the 2/rcmhs-8-3 8inch disc brake would work with a 10inch tire on this axle. Also, will this brake work in a triple axle set-up? The wheels are 5 on 4 1/2inch bolt pattern.

Sounds like you want to change from drum brakes to disc brakes on your Pontoon trailer with 3 Rockwell TA-35 torsion axles. If this is correct then yes, it is possible, and I can help!
The 2/rcmhs-8 you were looking at is part # K2HR35D-8. It has a Dacroment finish for longer durability, is listed to work with the 10 inch wheels and has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. Since you have a triple axle you will need 3 sets. It does include the races needed but will need both the bearings inner 2x # L68149, outer 2x # L44649, and a pair of seals # RG06-050 per axle. I was able to look up all the specs on your Rockwell torsion axles and all the components are an exact match to the parts I've listed above.
Another thing you will want to do is switch out your drum brake actuator with a disc brake actuator like the Titan # T4750820. This coupler has a 12,500lb weight capacity and also has an electric lockout to prevent the brakes from locking up when backing up.
This will definitely work on a triple axle setup as long as all the axles have brake lines already run. Don't worry if you do not have lines to all axles, to make them work you will just have to run additional brake lines to the axles that don't have brake lines already run to them. I have added a link to this page of our brake line kits for your convenience.
List out how many of each part you will need for your triple axle setup:
quantity 3 sets of disc brakes # K2HR35D-8
quantity 3 sets of grease seals # RG06-050
quantity 6 inner bearings # L68149
quantity 6 outer bearings # L44649
and quantity 1 surge brake coupler # T4750820
I have listed all the parts according to Rockwell your current axle should be equip.
3,500lb Torsion Axles per Rockwell Site:
inner beaing 1.375 (L68149)
outer bearing 1.0625 (L44649
grease seal double lip 1.719 (171255tb)
inner race 2.362 (L68111)
outer race 1.98 (L44610)
brake flange 4 hole (4-12)
