Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Trailer Bearings Races Seals Caps - Bearing Kit - BK3-300

Hello everybody, this is Jeff @etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this bearing kit for 5,200 pound axles with the 2.250 spindles. Now a 5,200 pound axle can come in two different applications. One will have a 2.125 inch grease seal, and the other will have a 2.250 grease seal. Basically the bearings will be all the same. The only difference is gonna be the grease seal itself.

So the correct bearing kit for your 5,200 pound axle will be determined by that inner diameter needed for your grease seal. This kit here is for the 5,200 pound axle that has the 2.250 inch diameter grease seal. Now if you do need the other kit that'll fit the smaller 2.125 inch diameter axle, we do sell that also. It's sold separately, part number BK3-310. What's nice with a kit like this, there's no need to have to search for separate components.

Just use this all inclusive bearing kit and we'll include everything laid out here on the table. It's gonna include one inner bearing and the bearing brace that it sits in, also includes one outer bearing and the bearing brace for that one to sit into. Comes with the double lip grease seal we mentioned. Does have the double lip design and it is the size 2.250 and it comes with the cotter pin. Now the part number for all these individual parts are located on the product page of this part number.

And this assembly is designed to save you time, ensure you have everything needed for proper installation. And this bearing kit is a versatile solution, compatible with popular brands like Lippert and Dexter axles. But that's gonna do it for a look at the bearing kit for 5,200 pound axles with the 2.250 spindles.

  • Correct Bearing Kit for a Curt 5,100 lbs Axle
Thanks for the information and picture James! Your Curt 5,100 lbs capacity axle uses item # 25580 inner bearings and item # LM67048 outer bearings. So you would need the Bearing Kit item # BK3-300, which includes both bearings, along with both races, a grease seal and cotter pin. You'll need one kit per hub. As far as a replacement axle goes you wouldn't be able to upgrade to a 6,000 lbs axle and keep the same hubs. The 5,200 lbs Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles item #...

  • Looking For Bearing Kit For 2017 EZ Loader Trailer With 5,200 lb Axles
Hello John, thanks for reaching out.The model number of your EZ Loader Trailer does indicate a 5,200 lb axle rating. The 5,200 lb axles do use a standard bearing combination, the # 25580 (1.75" inner diameter) inner bearing and the # LM67048 (1.25" inner diameter) outer bearing. That said, there are two common seal sizes that can go with this bearing combination, and regrettably, there is no way for me to look up your trailer to know the seal size. The trailer manufacturer may be able...

  • Replacement Bearings for Dexter 5,200 lb Axles
Hi Craig; thank you for providing those part numbers. That is the 2.25" inner diameter grease seal so for replacement bearings you can use the Bearing Kit, LM67048/25580 Bearings, 10-36 Seal # BK3-300 you were looking at. If you prefer Timken bearings we also have the # TMK72VR. What kind of trailer do you have?

  • Grease Seals For a Lippert 5,200LB Axle Under a 2015 Open Range Light 311FLR 5TH Wheel
The Lippert 5,200lb axle under your 2015 Open Range Light 311FLR 5TH Wheel is going to need 2 Seals # GS-2250DL per axle. We do have the Bearing Kit # BK3-300 which will contain the races, bearings, a seal and cotter pin for one hub. This would be good to keep on hand incase you find out any of the bearings and races are worn/damaged when you go to replace the seals. We have the Seal Puller # PTW1219 and Install Kit # PTW83020 which will make removal and installation of the seals and...

  • Replacement Components for a Dexter 5100 Pound Axle
I was unable to find any information with the numbers on your axle, unfortunately. However, you can contact the manufacturer of the trailer and they should be able to tell you exactly which inner and outer bearings you have. If for some reason they can't, you will need to pull off one of the hubs. Once it is off, you will need to measure the inner diameters of both your inner and outer bearing. This should be done with calipers as it does need to be as precise as possible. There can also...

  • Replacement Bearing and Seal for 5,100 lb Trailer Axle
Hey Bill, we have bearing kits for 5,200 lb axles like you have with the part # BK3-300 which comes with a new seal and the correct replacement bearings. If you wanted just the grease seal you'd want the part # GS-2250DL.

  • Replacement Bearing Kit for a 2019 K-Z - Durango Half-Ton D256RKT
Hey Joel, thanks for reaching out! You'll either need the Bearing Kit # BK3-310 which comes with a seal with a 2.125" ID or the Bearing Kit # BK3-300 which comes with a seal with a 2.250" ID. I believe the 2.125" seal ID is more common, but you'll either need to let me know the brand and serial number of your axles (found on a sticker in the middle of the axle) so I can verify it with the manufacturer, or you'll need to pull a hub and measure the spindle where the seal rides in order to...

  • Looking for Bearing Kit and Hub/Drum for 2023 Alpha Wolf 30dbh-l with 5,100 lb Dexter Axles
Hey Ken, since you have a 5,100 lb axle the correct bearing kit you'd need would be the part # BK3-300. The correct hub/drum replacement would then be the part # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K. From your tag I was also able to determine you have the 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern like what this hub has. What trailer is this for?

Hey Daniel! Thank you for providing that information. The serial number from the axle tag is typically required but, in this case I was able to find the bearings and grease seal without it. Your 2016 Rage'n 21FS uses # 25580 inner and # LM67048 outer bearings with a # RG06-070 (10-36) grease seal. If you would like a full bearing kit we have the # BK3-300. Feel free to reach out in the comments below if you have any other questions.

  • Correct Bearings for a Changzhou Nanxiashu Sportstar II Trailer
In order to find the correct bearings for you we are going to need to know your bearing numbers or measurements. The numbers can be found stamped into each bearing but if they are not legible then you will need to measure them with a digital caliper to the nearest thousandth of an inch. This is the best way to determine what are the correct bearings for your trailer. I have attached a help article which explains all of this for you. Once you find the numbers/measurements you can then use...

Hey Don, thanks for reaching out! You either need the Bearing Kit # BK3-310 (2.125" grease seal ID) or the Bearing Kit # BK3-300 (2.25" grease seal ID). The part number on your axles unfortunately doesn't give me the info I need to reach out to Lippert to see what exact grease seal is needed, but you can either find the serial number and let me know, or measure your spindle where the grease seal sits and choose the bearing kit with the seal that matches what you have. Hi Billy; your 2016 Grand Design Reflection 303RLS either uses the # BK3-310 with a 2.125" inner diameter grease seal or the # BK3-300 with a 2.25" ID grease seal. However, I have no way of determining this for sure without first identifying your axles. If you can send me a picture of your axle tag I can use that to find out which grease seal you need. You can respond to the email with the link for this answer page and attach your picture and I'll get it.

  • Replacement Bearings and Grease Seals for 2024 Outdoors RV Black Stone 260KVS
Hey Philip! Can you get the serial number off of that axle tag? We have two different bearing kits that will work with the difference being the grease seal. If your existing grease seal has a 2.25" inner diameter (ID) you can use the # BK3-300 and if it is a 2.125" ID # BK3-310. Dexter won't be able to tell us which one you actually have without the serial number.

Hey Dustin, thanks for the information. To replace the bearings on your 5,100 lbs axles you'll need the Timken Bearing Kit item # TMK22VR. This kit includes the correct inner and outer bearings, races, and seals. You'll need one kit per hub. • Bearing Kit for 2021 Grand Design MB31 Trailer Axle
Hey Michael, the 5,200 to 7,000 lb trailer axles are odd in that the seal diameter is hard to nail down. Some of them have the 2.125 inch diameter and others have the 2.25 inch diameter. To our knowledge there isn't a way to know exactly for sure when it's one way or the other. Best solution we can provide would be to check yours and let us know. Or if you already did and you know that you need the 2.25 inch seal then you'd want the part # BK3-300 which is bearing kit that includes that seal.

  • Looking For Bearing Kit For 2023 Grand Design 303RLS With 5,200 lb Axles
Hello John, thanks for reaching out. We actually get this question a lot. It is common for your axles to be underrated for the GVWR. Tons of campers do this. The reasoning is the axles do not actually carry the full weight of the trailer. 10%-15% of the trailer weight is on the hitch or the jack. So your trailer is still safe to tow, even if you are fully loaded up to the GVWR. That said, we do offer a bearing kit for the 5,200 lb axles, which is the following: - Bearing Kit, LM67048/25580...

Hey John! The LCI52 part of the axle ID means you have a 5,200 lb axle. There's no way it has super special bearings so you likely need one of the following kits (the only difference is the grease seal ID size): - Bearing Kit # BK3-310 (2.125" Seal ID) - Bearing Kit # BK3-300 (2.250" Seal ID) Just verify which seal ID your spindle uses and you'll be good to go with one of these bearing kits!

Hello Ryan. Your Dexter 5,100 lb axle uses the # 25580 inner bearing and a # LM67048 outer bearing. For a bearing kit, part # BK3-300 is what you need.
