Replacement Bearing Kit for a 2019 K-Z - Durango Half-Ton D256RKT

Updated 06/17/2025 | Published 06/05/2025

Question:

I have a 2019 kz Durango half ton model 256rkt and Im trying to determine what wheel bearings and seals I will need. Is there some kind of numbers I need to get off the axles or hubs to make that determination? The axels are showing as 5200.

Hey Joel, thanks for reaching out!

You'll either need the Bearing Kit # BK3-310 which comes with a seal with a 2.125" ID or the Bearing Kit # BK3-300 which comes with a seal with a 2.250" ID. I believe the 2.125" seal ID is more common, but you'll either need to let me know the brand and serial number of your axles (found on a sticker in the middle of the axle) so I can verify it with the manufacturer, or you'll need to pull a hub and measure the spindle where the seal rides in order to know which seal you need.

Are those parts needing to be replaced, or are you just getting them in advance?

@Joel Are you positive that the axle is rated for 5.2K lbs? I reached out to my contact at Dexter Axle with that serial number and they came back with the seal number 010-019-00 which is the equivalent to our kit # RG06-050 for a 3.5K lbs axle.

@JonG It doesn't look like I can attach a picture. It says capacity 5200 lbs. it also has Dexter # 2920729 if that means anything I'm assuming a part #.

@Joel can you shoot me a photo of the label to [email protected]? I can forward it to my contact at Dexter Axle to see if that changes anything.
