Mounting panel creates a factory look for your Toyota or Mitsubishi's dash when you install the control knob from your Tow-Pro Elite or Liberty brake controller. Drilling template and self-adhesive tape included.

Once the proper panel was determined, the panel fit well, no looseness or other problems. Good cosmetic match. We ordered the wrong panel initially and had to wait for the correct part to arrive, which etrailer worked well with us. In the interim, I designed and 3d printed a substitute which served until we could get the permanent part installed after an 8700 mile trip, with 3000 miles of dirt road. The current part has been solid on trips without rattles and is a solid addition to the panel.
Fits the dash okay but is a different shade of black. 2022 Tacoma. Asked by email if the bezel comes with it. Was told no so I bought the kit and a bezel. Find out it DOES come so, $[XX] wasted but wont break me. HAvent had a chance to try the unit out yet.

Installed first unit and the light just flashed and th eunit did not work. A second unit was sent to me. Installed it and was able to program it. Woorks grat on my dual axle brakes on one axle trailer.
Exactly as advertised!! I load the trailer with 5,000 lbs of hardwood logs, set the switch on “9” and can feel the brakes stopping the trailer perfectly. Highly recommend !!
I am very careful with anything for my Taco. I had to install a brake controller to tow a double axle trailer with electric brakes. The Redarc Elite was not only easy to install it exceeded my expectations in its operation. Above all the control switch for it looks as good as a factory install. Nice job.

Operates as designed.
About a year ago I called etrailer looking for a brake controller for a Lexus LX600. They couldn’t be more helpful. Of all the local places I called, nobody had a clue and couldn’t help me. Then it hit
Me. I recalled my last experience with these guys and they saved me and walked me through the installation. You can’t find that kind of service anywhere these days.
Perfect fit in our 2020 Toyota 4Runner. Saved me from drilling out an exiting switch blank, so if I were ever to remove the controller to sell the truck it could easily be returned to stock.
Oddly, the trim bezel that comes with the TowPro Elite to go behind the control knob won't fit properly, as the knob can't be depressed when it's in place. No matter, as it's not needed anyway and looks fine without it.

Still pleased with how this switch fits and integrates into our 4Runners instrument panel. I wasnt certain that using the far left side blank would prove convenient rather than the partially hidden one to the right of the steering column thats closer to hand, but it has proven to be a good, readily accessible place for the control knob. Also loving the RedArc TP Elite controller. Strongly recommend it. Note that while the application list shows 2009-2012 4Runner for this mounting panel, it fits perfectly in our 2020, and should therefore fit MY2010-2022 models, since they use the same switches and blanks.
Does not fit in the 2025 4runner dash mounting knockouts.

Unfortunately, that panel only fits the 2009 to 2012 4 Runner. For a 2025, you'll want to use # RED48FR which is a fit for the dash knockouts.
This fit the lower dash panel on my 2105 Highlander. The blank was a pain in the butt to get at from the back side to push out, so I made certain the controller was properly installed on it before pushing it in. Worked out well.
Mounting panel insert for Redarc Tow Pro Elite brake controller installation
This insert is for a 2020 Toyota Tacoma and is pre drilled for the Redarc Tow Pro control knob. Just snap it in place where the blank insert was located, eliminating the need to drill holes in the original insert panel. Makes the job neater, quicker and professional looking. See accompanying photo.

I wanted to follow up and thank you for your help! I was able to install the Redarc brake controller with no problem! Thanks for your assistance and recommendations.
One note...There are not a lot of late model Land Cruisers on the road. Toyota only sells about 3-4,000 a year so finding videos and guides for installation is a bit of a challenge. I found some FAQ's on etrailer.com but the information seemed inaccurate or at least not very helpful.
I know the LC comes with a two package and is prewired but it takes some doing to locate it. I remember directions and I found some install help on another site and that helped.
In any event, I appreciate your help. I have attached a photo of the installed Redarc!
Ordered for/installed in my 2016 4Runner Trail Premium. Exact fit for the vehicle OEM switch blanks. Fit the RedArc TowPro Elite brake controller perfectly, just need to NOT install the plastic grommet that comes with the Redarc as that’s for use without this custom switch bezel. I used White-Out to paint the recessed lettering. (Glob it on, wipe surface with alcohol to remove excess). No complaints for fit and function. Looks OEM.

Received package okay and installed it in a couple of hours into 2021 4RUNNER. You can almost get away with not removing any panels as I reached up and replaced plug no problem but I did remove panel by the mat to place the main unit. I also ordered the knock out and used the spot by the inverter and not lower left as some videos showed. Lights up and will test when trailer arrives. Cheers
Very happy mounting panel. Looks factory equipment in my 2019 4Runner. Or at least it will when I white out the letters like another reviewer did.

Shortly after I wrote this review I used liquid white out to fill in the letters. Looks like it came from the factory.
Makes a world of a difference worth it.

Very nice integration. I will share one piece of useful information I stumbled upon.... access to the back of the central panel on my 2021 Tacoma Off-Road (Manual) was looking like a big job. I found a post that indicated access could be gained by pulling/un-snapping the frame around the information display and removing the four bolts retaining the display. Carefully lift the display out and support it. Reach through the opening and you will be able to reach the back of the panel insert to squeeze and release it. Pictures attached. Please disregard the pollen coating EVERYTHING.
I bought a new Bronco Sport which does not have a factory brake controller option. I found the next best thing. a Redarc Tow-Pro Elite. I did not want the traditional box hanging under the dash as there is a knee air bag there. This unit can be mounted anywhere and in any position, with just a tiny knob to control it. I put the knob in a blank area in the headlight switch. Looks like it was factory installed! I took it for a test drive and it works perfectly, nice smooth proportional braking.
I am so pleased with etrailer's products. I have ordered from them before and received the perfect part to my vehicle. This time I ordered a Plug and Play Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller with a Control Knob mounting plate that fits perfectly with my install. Very professional. The parts came in as was promised. 2017 Toyota Tacoma SR5 dual cab V6 4x4. Installation was simple enough to DIY. The additional purchase of the control knob face plate was a good choice. Excellent customer service and communication from etrailer!
Looks nice, but did not fit my 2005 Tacoma. It was not listed to fit, I just took a gamble. I just modified my existing blank knock out.
