Expert Answers about Furrion

  • Comparing Furrion Digital Wireless Backup Cameras FOS48TA-BL and FOS48TAPK-BL
  • The difference between the Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System # FOS48TA-BL and the similar # FOS48TAPK-BL is that the latter includes a mounting bracket. The same applies to the other two items you referenced; the PK in the part number denotes that a bracket is included. I confirmed this with my contact at Furrion.

  • Differences Between Furrion Backup Camera FRC12TA-BL and FOS48TA-BL
  • The biggest difference between the part # FRC12TA-BL and # FOS48TA-BL is that the part # FOS48TA-BL has quick computer processor which allows the video quality to be much higher. Aside from that either can be used for reverse camera or observation. If you have a backup camera bracket and wiring kit already on your vehicle that would most likely indicate that the reverse light circuit is already present at the connector. You would want to check this by using a circuit tester like part...

  • Wiring Instructions for Installing Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System
  • When wiring up the Furrion backup camera part # FOS48TA-BL it does need to be wired to a circuit that sees 12 volts when you want the camera to activate. Some use the running lights and others use the reverse lights. I attached a picture that shows the wiring instructions.

  • Recommended Backup Camera for Forest River Trailer
  • The Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System # FOS48TA-BL will work great on your Forest River Trailer along with the Mounting Bracket # FRCBRKT-BL. This camera will work on vehicles that are up to 100 feet long, so you will have no signal issues with your trailer that looks to be around 33 feet in length. The camera will just need to be wired to a circuit that sees 12 volts when you want the camera to activate. For example, if you connect it to running lights on your trailer, the...

  • Will The Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System Part # FOS48TAPK-BL Work Continuously
  • The rear view camera function on the Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System part # FOS48TAPK-BL can be setup to run continuously or only when a certain function of the vehicle is activated, such as while reversing. This will all depend on which circuit you wire the power to on the monitor. For example, in order to use the camera only while in reverse, you will want to attach the power wire to the vehicle's reverse circuit. In order for the monitor to operate continuously, you will...

  • Will Furrion Backup Camera System Work While Traveling Down the Highway
  • I completely understand wanting to see behind your RV while traveling down the highway. There is only so much mirrors can do! With the Furrion backup camera system # FOS48TA-BL you can wire it up to a constant 12 volt power source or to the running light circuit (you would have to turn the RV lights on to power on the camera using the running light circuit) and the camera will operate while you are driving! For a mounting bracket for the camera use # FRCBRKT-BL. I have linked a video...

  • How Does the Furrion RV Soundbar # FSB24SA2C-BL Hook Up to a TV or Stereo
  • Furrion RV Soundbar # FSB24SA2C-BL has standard inputs, left and right channels, for regular speaker wire. The other end of the speaker wire would have to be connected to a stereo or device that accepts regular speaker wire.

  • Difference Between Furrion Back Up Cameras # FRC12TA-BL and # FRC12TAPK-BL
  • The difference is the mounting bracket style for the camera. The part # FRC12TAPK-BL comes with a bracket that would easily install on top of something whereas the part # FRC12TA-BL would mount to the back of something.

  • Will Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System Fit a 2017 Heartland Cyclone 3611
  • Observation system # FOS48TAPK-BL will work with your 2017 Heartland Cyclone but I was unable to find what kind of inputs are on that trailer. Since the system is wireless though it doesn't really matter. The camera itself just needs to be wired to a power source which should be contained within the factory camera prep system. The monitor that is included plugs into a 12 volt power outlet so really you would not be using a whole lot of the camera prep system on the trailer.

  • Recommended Backup Camera to Observe Boat Trailer While Driving
  • To monitor your boat trailer while driving, I recommend looking at the Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System # FOS48TA-BL. This is a great, wireless system that uses digital transmission to relay images up to 100 feet away. It features a nice full-color LCD monitor that will secure to your windshield or dash with the included suction cup mount. The camera also has built-in infrared LEDs to allow for night vision. In order to use this as an observation system while you are driving,...

  • Will Furrion Backup Camera Fit Factory Wiring and Mount on a Forest River 186RB
  • The camera part of backup camera system # FOS48TAPK-BL is designed to splice into a reverse light wire. If the pre-existing wiring on your Forest River has an active reverse light circuit then you can use that to install the camera. It is possible that the monitor will fit the factory mount. You just have to go by the dimensions of the monitor and compare that to what will fit in the factory mount. The monitor is 5-1/2" long x 3-3/8" wide x 1" deep. If it turns out not to be a fit then...

  • I reached out to my contact at Furrion and they said there isn't a Wi-Fi signal on Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System, # FOS48TA-BL. • Furrion HD Television with Smartlink for Connecting to Furrion Stereo

  • Recommended Stereo to Replace Jensen AWM970
  • Sorry to hear that your current system isn't working out for you. I recommend going with one of our most popular stereos that we have to offer, which is the Furrion Stereo with Bluetooth # DV1100. It has the ability to play audio off of CDs, DVDs, and USB-connected devices and if you connect the video output to your TV you can use it as a DVD player as well. It includes the typical triple zone output so that you can play audio in 3 different rooms or, if you choose, 2 rooms and outside!...

  • Can Second Camera Be Added To Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System
  • An additional camera cannot be added to the Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System, part # FOS48TA-BL, but we do have a system that does have two cameras. I recommend the Swift Hitch Wireless Hitch System, part # SH03. This system has 2 cameras that let you see 2 views and is wireless so it is easy to move from vehicle to vehicle. This system has a hand-held monitor that lets you toggle between cameras.

  • Can TV Audio Play through the Furrion HDMI Stereo with Bluetooth and NFC
  • If your TV can communicate via Bluetooth or can connect to one of the various jacks on Furrion stereo # DV3200 then it will allow you to hear the TV audio through the RV speaker system. You may have to select a specific audio out setting on the TV. If you think of the stereo as a receiver like you would have in your house you would run audio out from the TV to it and select the appropriate settings on both the TV and the stereo so the audio runs through the speakers. It is hard to say...

  • Where to Mount Camera of Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System # FOS48TA-BL
  • Best advice I can give on mounting the camera of the Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System w/ Color LCD Monitor # FOS48TA-BL is to temporarily try mounting it in a few places to see which gives the best viewing angle. It really just depends on what you want to see. Having it higher and then pointed down will give you a wider viewing angle whereas lower and more straight back will give more of what's behind you.

  • Watt Usage of Furrion 29 Inch HD LED Television FEHS29T8A and Inverter Recommendations
  • The average 29 inch TV such as # FEHS29T8A is going to use about 100 watts or so when it is running which will translate to somewhere around 1 amp if not less. If the TV is the only thing you will be running then the inverter will need to be rated for over 100 watts. I would not go under 200 though, such as # WC2600. I have linked a video review of this inverter for you. If you plan on running other AC devices at the same time I recommend stepping up to the 1,000 watt # 02294.

  • Screen Is Blank On Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System
  • It sounds like you do not have the camera wiring attached to a circuit that is on. You can wire it to the back running lights or the tail lights on your trailer, but they will have to be on for the camera to have power. One way to make sure you have it attached properly is to check the camera and make sure it has a blue light on. That will confirm it is getting power. If you do not have a blue light on the camera, then you will need to find a circuit that will provide power like the...

  • Will Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System Work with Multiple Cameras

However, the Swift Hitch Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor # SH02 is a great choice as a camera to help you hitch up your fifth wheel trailer. • Comparing Backup Cameras # RVS-155W and Furrion # FRC12TAPK-BL
  • Both the Furrion part # FRC12TAPK-BL and the RVS part # RVS-155W are fantastic options for back up cameras. Either are going to work well but there are a few differences. The monitor of the RVS is a bit bigger and is designed to mount to something below it permanently. The screen is 5 inches in size. The Furrion has a monitor size of 4.3 inches but is designed to mount to a windshield for more of a temporary mount. I'd go with whichever has the mounting/monitor style that you would...
