Hey Paul! Great question. The Furrion Chill Cube # FR39TD comes with the AC unit and the air distribution box for a ducted setup. The # FR49TD has the AC, ADB, and also adds in a wall thermostat. If you just need the AC then the # FR39TD is the right part for you. The wireless remote acts as the thermostat for the AC unit.

If you have a furnace that you need to run with the AC then the # FR49TD is what you need with the wall thermostat. This still comes with the wireless remote to control the AC unit but the remote is unable to run a furnace at this time, hence the need for the wall thermostat.

Hey Paul, how did things work out with the Furrion Chill Cube setup you were comparing? Did the version with the wall thermostat end up being the better fit for your furnace connection? Your update could make it easier for others deciding between these two models.

If FR49TD is basically the FR39TD plus the wall thermostat, then why does the FR49TD cost less? Seems like it should cost more if it adds additional components to the FR39TD package? Am I missing something?

@Lars you aren't missing anything, our pricing model does that sometimes and I can't really control it. Do you want the wall thermostat for your furnace? If you do, you're better off sticking with the # FR39TD and running the furnace off of your existing thermostat or using a simple thermostat like # DMC84RR. The AC can still run off of the remote and the ADB controls. We have run into a lot of issues with furnace compatibility and Furrion doesn't have a good solution still.
