RV Water Inlets with Recessed Mount for tidy hookups

Keep your hookup neat and protected with recessed mount RV water inlets that sit in a dish-style cutout. Match your trailer's cutout and flange size, and choose metal or plastic bodies and hose connectors based on hose weight and sun exposure. If a check valve is worn, some assemblies accept a replacement valve while others require swapping the whole inlet; an elbow or short leader hose helps reduce strain.
It depends on the inlet. Some recessed units accept a replacement plastic check valve, while others with a brass check valve require replacing the entire fitting. If a check valve seizes it can leak inside and outside; consider adding a short elbow or leader hose at the inlet to reduce wear on the fitting.
Some do not include a lock and key. If you need security, look for versions with a locking door. In some swaps, the old door was reusable on the new recessed inlet, but confirm hinge and latch compatibility before counting on that.
Metal parts can feel sturdier and help with cracking issues from hose weight, and brass fittings were praised. Some units use plastic connectors; if so, go easy when tightening plastic to brass to prevent stripping. If your old plastic check valve broke, choosing metal where available can be a worthwhile upgrade.
Match the recessed flange size and dish depth to your existing cutout and wall thickness. Check the screw hole pattern; some installs use larger screws to reuse existing holes. Look for included sealant like butyl tape or weather puddy. If a plastic male-to-male adapter is used against brass, tighten carefully to avoid damage.
