Today we're going to look at the Valterra recessed water inlet for RVs with the white metal flange. This part will conform with federal and state laws for drinking water fixtures. It is a lead-free design. As I mentioned, the flange on this is actually a white metal flange with a nice powder coat paint over it. The connection on the back is a 0.5 inch female pipe thread inside brass connection. On the inside is a brass check valve.
On the outer portion, you can see it has a nice press-in dust plug to keep any dust or dirt from getting in there. It has a garden hose swivel-type fitting with the gripper, and you can see the screen in there also helps keep out any bad elements. This part does come with the male nipple, and if needed, you can change the female type threads to a male connection. Everything shown here is included. It comes with the water inlet itself. It comes with the insulation screws, insulation putty tape, a pipe thread tape for making your connections on the threaded portions, and the male nipple, as I mentioned. A few dimensions on this I want to give you: The overall diameter edge to edge is going to be right at 4.5 inches.
The cut out diameter for this section to fit recessed in would be 3.5 inches. That should do it for the review on the Valterra recessed water inlet for RVs with the white metal flange.

Thanks, etrailer to make business with your company.
Each item was delivered as ordered and installed. I am pleased with the fit and finish and am already putting another order together to continue improving my old pop-up camper.
Received part as scheduled with no problems. Everything needed to install water inlet came with it which made it so easy to install. Thank you e-trailer.
Product arrived on time and was exactly as pictured in description. Seems to be of good quality and I will replace a broken valve on a 1976 Argosy trailer. The recessed metal plate will work perfectly in maintaining the smooth lines of this classic.
The unit rates a high Mark for ease of installation, and workmanship.
[Thumbs up]
Product arrived quickly. Installation was easy. Would definitely order from etrailer again. Thank you.
Unfortunately this turned out to be junk. It started rusting around the edges within six months of purchase.
the Valterra Water Inlet for RVs - Metal Recessed Flange - White -
was a replacement for my 98 5th wheel, it is made will, great fit,
comes with all you need but tools to install the new one.
Looks great and works like it should.
The white color - I would call Artic white.

One year later, still looks new and works great.
I had to replace this due to the sun ruining the plastic surrounding the connection. Trim on the new one is nice white metal instead of the stock plastic. Came with everything I needed for installation. Only thing is the male-to-male adapter you may need, (I did) is plastic. Had to be real careful tightening plastic fitting to brass. Would be better with a brass adapter, but works fine.

Still works and looks perfect after being in the Florida sun for a year
Nice, durable, and easy to install. I used larger screws than the supplied ones, so I could utilize the existing holes in the trailer exterior wall. Recently learned to leave an elbow or leader hose attached to reduce wear on this fitting. I believe the check valve seized on my old inlet, causing it to leak both inside and outside the trailer, but it was simpler to change the 15-year-old inlet than to troubleshoot the check valve.

Still works good After a dozen usages. For those just install in this unit, I recommend using quality clear silicone.
