RV Steps with Kwikee 2 Steps built for easy entry

Ready to replace a worn setup without the fuss? Kwikee 2 steps offer a familiar fit for coaches already using Kwikee gear, and matching connectors can make the wiring a simple plug-in on compatible systems. Double-check your step width, mounting pattern, and connector style to keep installation straightforward and the swap clean.
Yes, certain Kwikee 2-steps offer replacement components. You can get lower step ball-bearing slides, top step slides, and an upper slide assembly. Match by your step series and the slide position you're replacing to ensure proper fit.
Start by measuring your step width; Kwikee 2-steps can be 24" or 29" wide. Confirm your bracket bolt pattern—some 24" wide units use 20-1/2" wide x 12-7/8" deep. Check folded depth and underbody clearance; we've seen approximately 18" on certain 24" wide Kwikee 2-steps. If your doorway opening is tight, plan to verify and trim as needed.
Installation can be straightforward with basic tools. These steps are heavy, so use a floor jack or a second set of hands and support the unit during removal and lifting. Multiple mounting holes can help you line up with the coach, and some setups use four mounting bolts. If the body opening is slightly narrow, check and trim carefully.
Often yes, the wiring can be plug-and-play when the connectors match. You may be able to reuse your magnetic door switch and cut out switch. In some cases you'll need a few wire connectors and an inline fuse holder that aren't included. If changing configurations, you may need a switch magnet to complete the setup.
