We installed the kit on a home-built 25' gooseneck trailer that we were converting from 2 axles to 3. This kit, along with new leaf springs on all 3 axles, went on with no issues, and it has been running strong with no problems since the installation. We've put quite a bit of weight on the trailer between logs, lumber, tractors, and equipment, and there have been no issues so far. It was great to have everything we needed, (other than springs), in one kit!

And etrailer has always been good about fast delivery, easy purchasing, and great updates on status. Things have gone so smoothly that we have never had to contact Customer Service, so I can't comment on how they do!

by:

I ordered this kit for a trailer that I bought as scrap iron to haul logs so I wouldn't tear up my good trailer. The first load I broke 3 shackles and 2 equalizers. I looked at parts and found this kit at a great price to rebuild my suspension. I had it within 3 days of the time I ordered, And the service was great!! The best part....... when I got the box I thought they knew me personally and had already seen the trailer I was working on, Redneck Trailer Parts LOL. I plan on getting rid of the redneck dually setup with a different set of axles and get rid of the trailer house wheels and make it into a gooseneck. I will for sure get all my parts from Etrailer.com for the rest of this project and any other trailer parts I need. VERY VERY pleased with the parts, service and fast shipping!!

by:

Robert p was give little info on what I needed. I was sent the items and they were perfect fit.. I’ve been using Etrailer for probably 15 yrs and never disappointed with product and customer service..

Very good

by:

I purchased this kit to replace my existing suspension on an old equipment trailer. Very happy with the product and the help that I received from Londyn in taking the time to help me find the right set to fit my trailer requirements.

A tip for if you are replacing them on a trailer with existing shackles or if you don't want to pull the axles out from underneath the trailer. If you set up the hangers onto a 2x4 you can clamp them into place with the board holding them in place and inline with each other so you can tack weld them to the frame without worrying about them bowing or twisting out of alignment. And it will save you lots of time and frustration.

by:

The bushings in my equalizers were worn out, so I was just going to buy new equalizers, then I decided to buy new bolts also. This kit cost less than the equalizers and bolts so I bought it. I went ahead and used the new shackles, but I now have a set of hangers laying around. It all fit well. I used it with PR4 springs. My existing hangers were already set up with the dimensions shown on the web page for this kit.

by:

Great quality. Great price. Went on 22k tri axle gooseneck. Tightened everything right up. Only wish is that the nylon bushings were softer steel aloy for longevity sake.

by:

We had an old tri-axle that needed work. Overall a good trailer just many road miles and worn parts. With this kit we were able to get it on the road again, with parts that match the job went quickly. The website even offered a diagram for proper spacing of the hangers for the layout.
This is only the second time I have used E-trailer, but if they keep up the great service, I can see many years of business helpiong to maintain my fleet of 100+ vehicals.

by:

Excellent quality. Needed a full triple axle kit. Everything was there. Turned the trailer over and had it put together and welded up in about 4 hrs. Will definitely be ordering more product from this company in the future.

by:

Everything is great all finished I appreciate the great service I’ve received from etrailer over many years

by:

A couple bolts and nuts lost due to shipping damage. One call to etrailer and the missing items were on the way. Great service

by:

The hanger kit is holding up very well.

by:

My order was on hold fore quite some time so I called and spoke with Lauren and she took good care and found their was only one item holding things up so we canceled that item and she got the remaining order shipped right away. Ask for Lauren if you want it done right!

by:

Perfect for the dump trailer I am building. Product was shipped fast and in good condition when it arrived. The product is easy to install but it would be nice if they added mounting instructions with the parts. This information is available on their website however and is easy to follow

by:

Worked as described. Got my trailer pulling like new.

by:

by:

Everything fit as expected. My trailer rides like new again.

by:

Steel looks good, I haven’t installed it yet but looks like it’s gonna work good

by:

The kit fit well, however I was missing one bolt and nut from the kit.

by:

very good and quick shipping

by:

Haven't had a chance to put them on. Received products earlier than expected. Will try to send pictures before, as, and after putting them on.

Was going to remove and rework old parts but found this kit and at a great price. The order came quickly and the parts are perfect. Highly recommend these parts for your next job!

  • Recommended Lift Kit for a Triple Axle Trailer
No, I am sorry we do not sell the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Triple Axle Trailers item # MR86ZR with the hangers from the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit item # APTT5. I checked with MORryde and they don't offer kits like that either. You can buy the hangers separately with item # 28-5 but it wouldn't be cost effective plus you would still need equalizers. Another option other than replacing your hangers is to use the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit item # RR55QX....

  • Do Hangers Need to be Modified or Replaced When Switching to New Equalizers on Trailer
You shouldn't need to modify the hangers at all on your trailer when going from a straight equalizer like # TREQR2 to Y-shape units like the ones in the Triple Axle Kit # APTT5 that you were looking at. The shackle strap angle will make up for the difference between the two designs. The difference in height between the front/rear hangers and the middle hangers on your triple axle trailer is not uncommon. This is actually the more standard method than using hangers of all the same length....

  • Leaf Springs and Shackle Straps for Triple Axle Trailer with 7-3/4 Inch Equalizers
The issue you are experiencing is a result of leaf springs that are too long for your hanger spacing. You will want shorter springs and I recommend also going with a capacity more geared toward your axles. You will want to use the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APTT5 and # APTT3 for reference. These kits are rated for 2,000 to 7,000 lb axles with almost identical spacing. My recommendation for you is the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 5,300-lb Trailer Axles...

  • Troubleshooting Front Equalizer On Triple Axle Trailer Hitting Trailer Frame
Based on the picture you provided you will need to replace the center hangers on your triple axle trailer with the Center Hanger for Double-Eye Springs - 5-7/16" Tall - 3/4" Bolt Hole # 115919 which is just under 2-1/4" taller than the center hangers included in the # APTT5 you purchased and will give you the additional clearance you need. I included a video of the # 115919 for you to take a look at.

  • Can Triple Axle Hanger kit part # APTT5 be Used on Trailer with 7k Axles

  • Differences Between Triple Axle Hanger Kits APTT1, APTT3, and APTT5
The differences are the dimensions of the hangers and equalizers of the three kits. The # APTT1 uses totally straight equalizers and taller center hangers. The # APTT3 uses more traditional sized equalizers and center and outside hangers that differ in size slightly. The part # APTT5 uses a standard sized equalizer and hangers that are all the same height. The part # APTT3 is the one that is the most commonly used. It would be my recommendation for your trailer.

  • How to Determine if a 108 Triple Axle Fender Would Work with the Hanger Kit part # APTT5
The distance between the axle centers with the # APTT5 when used with a 25-1/4 inch spring like the # e66SR will be 34 inches. You would need to compare that dimension to the dimension of the wheel centers on the fender to see if this kit would fit. Tire size will play into this as well. You will need to consider this also.

  • Distances Between Hangers for Triple Axle Kit when Used with Hanger Kit APTT5
Yes we do have a chart that shows how to space the axles of a triple axle trailer with a hanger kit like the # APTT5 that you referenced. I attached this chart for you to check out as well. The bottom section of the chart is for use with springs that are 25-1/4 inches in length from spring eye to spring eye. This is most likely what you have. The upper portion is for springs that are 20-3/8 inches.

  • Does Trailer Suspension 7-3/4 Inch Equalizer EQ-E1 Have a Weight Capacity
Equalizer # TREQE1 does not have a weight capacity itself. It isn't bearing much of the weight compared to other components in a trailer suspension set up. If you have a tandem axle trailer then you could potentially use kit # APT5, # APT3, # APT9, # APT8, # APT7, or # APT3HD. All of these kits have the 7-3/4 inch long equalizers. For a triple axle trailer you could use # APTT5 or # APTT3. All of the above kits also come with hangers. If you do not need hangers then you would need to...

  • Distance Between Hangers When Using Hanger Kit part # APTT5 with 26 inch Long Trailer Leaf Spring
There aren't holes through the top of the hangers that come with the # APTT5 so there wouldn't be a way to bolt them to your trailer. If the springs you have are 26 inches long you would need to have a distance of 34-3/4 inches between each hanger. Typically this kit is used on 25-1/4 inch springs like the # e28SR which then would call for 34 inches between the hangers on center.

  • Parts Needed To Convert Triple Axle Boat Trailer From Hydraulic To Electric Brakes
Hello Edward, I can definitely point you in the right direction. Generally, we do recommend using hydraulic brakes for a boat trailer, since electricity and water do not mix well. If you want to add electric brakes, you will need electric trailer brake assemblies, hub/drum assemblies, a 7-way trailer wiring harness, an emergency breakaway kit, and an electric trailer brake controller for your vehicle. In order to recommend the correct parts, I will need more information on your trailer....

  • Triple Axle Boat Trailer Suspension Clearance Problems After Installing New Front Springs
The first thing I would check on is the capacity of the new springs that you had installed on the trailer. You need to be sure that the spring capacity is rated at 1/2 the axle capacity. That way 2 springs equal the capacity of the trailer axle for proper fit. Check the arch of the springs with a level top of spring to top of spring to tie bolt. Next, check the suspension components on the trailer and make sure there is no damage. The Spring hangers, equalizers or shackle straps could...

This will put each of the 3 axles 28-1/2 inches on center. I've attached a photo to assist. This is all based on 7-3/4 inch curved equalizers and 2-5/8 inch long shackle straps.
