Correct Hanger Spacing for Triple Axle Trailer with 26-1/2" Double Eye Springs

Updated 07/30/2024 | Published 07/26/2024

Question:

I am rebuilding an old gooseneck triple axle trailer. I have new 26.5inch springs and 7.75 equalizers and am having trouble with spacing out the hangers. The new stuff is different from the original equipment. Near as I can figure it should be 36inch for the center and 31.5inch for the front and back axles. Does that sound right?

Thanks for reaching out, Eric!

According to my research it looks like you're needing to space the outer hangers 29-1/2" apart and the inner hangers 33" apart since you have 26" long leaf springs.

If you check out the linked photo we have for the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APTT5 the "A" and "C" measurements will need to be 29-1/2" while the "B" measurement would need to be that 33".
