Optronics ST57 Series Combination Tail Light Dimensions

Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.

Combination Lights for Trailers Over 80" Wide

Flatbed trailer over 80" wide with combination tail lights

If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.

To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

  • Replacement Tail Lights Recommendation for a 2005 EZ Loader Boat Trailer
Thanks for the photo, that really helps to narrow it down! For incandescent replacements you need these Optronics Lights: - Driver Side # ST57RS - Passenger Side # ST56RS Then for LED replacements you need these Optronics Lights: - Driver Side # STL57RB - Passenger Side # STL56RB

  • Recommended Replacement Tail Light Assembly for 6 inch x 3 inch Tail Lights
It sounds like you're looking for a set of submersible tail lights, and which ones you'll want to use depends on the other type of lights you currently have on your trailer-i.e. LED or incandescent. If you've got incandescent lights already on your trailer you can use something like the Optronics # ST56RS (passenger side) and # ST57RS (driver's side) and are 6" long by 3-1/2" tall. If you've got LED lights on your trailer the LED Combination Tail Light Kit for Trailers under 80" Wide...

  • Replacement Lights for 2023 Karavan KDH-2000-60-8-HD
Hi Gordon; we don't have a way to know the exact replacement lights for your 2023 Karavan KDH-2000-60-8-HD. Looking at pictures, the Incandescent Tail Light for Trailers over 80" Wide # ST56RS and # ST57RS appear to be a close match as far as appearance is concerned. These lights measure 3-3/4" tall x 6-1/16" long x 2-1/4" deep. I would compare that to what you have now to see if they're a good fit. If the dimensions are the same or close and they'll fit in that bracket you won't have...

  • Recommended Replacement Tail Light for Boat Trailer
The Optronics ONE Series Marine LED # STL0016RB you asked about is 8 x 2-7/8 by 2-13/16 inches. I've attached a diagram to assist. The closest tail lights to your 3-3/8x5-7/8 measurements on your boat trailer are the STL57RB for the driver's side and STL56RB for the passenger side. These LED submersible lights are 6-1/16 x 3-5/8 so just slightly larger. For incandescent lights, I recommend the Optronics 6-Function Tail Light - Submersible - Passenger Side # ST56RS and driver's side...

  • Replacement Submersible Tail Lights for a Shorelander Boat Trailer
First, the additional function is a license plate light. If your license plate is mounted and/or illuminated elsewhere then you could use 2 right side lights. When replacing trailer lights it is best to go with all LEDs or all incandescents. Mixing the types can result in lights not working or overdraw on the LEDs. Otherwise you can use either one. The dimensions, 6-1/16 inches long x 3-5/8 inches wide x 2-1/4 inches deep, for # STL56RB are correct. Rear reflex means that the lens also...

  • Replacement Lens Needed for Shorelander Boat Trailer Tail Light
To order replacement lens for your Shorelander boat trailer, you will want to try and locate a part number on the light housing or take a quick measurement of the light and order by size. I have included a link to all of our tail light replacement lenses for you. From this link you can use the filters to narrow down your search. We do know that Wesbar Submersible Trailer Tail Lights, # 403025 (left side) and # 403075 (right side) were commonly used by Shorelander but unfortunately a collective...

  • Does The Optronics Tail Light ST57RS Come With Plugs On The Ends Of The Wires?
The Optronics Incandescent Tail Light for Trailers over 80" Wide - Submersible - 8 Function - Driver Side # ST57RS will have bare wires for the connection to a trailer and ground wire with a ring terminal, but will not have a 2 prong plug. However, if you were going to be replacing the passenger side as well ( # ST56RS), you could also get the Hopkins 2-Pole Flat # HM47965, cut it in half, and then splice it into the wires on the lights. This would give you the 2 prong connection for quick...

  • Replacement Submersible Tail Lights Needed for Shorelander Boat Trailer
Whether it be lights or lenses, to order replacements for your Shorelander boat trailer, you can either try and locate a part number on the light housing (not the lens) or take a quick measurement of the light and order by size. I have included a link to our submersible tail lights for you. From this link you can use the filters to narrow down your search. • Replacement License Plate Holder and Light for Shorelander Trailer
Often the license plate holder has an integrated light that requires replacing the entire holder as well. I recommend the LED Trailer License-Plate Light w/ Mounting Bracket - 2 Wire - 5 Diodes - Clear # LPL56CB because there are no bulbs to replace and there is a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. You will need to cut the wires and reconnect the new ones. If you have something more detailed, send me a photo and we can continue to troubleshoot.

  • Recommendations for Waterproof Tail Lights for a Boat Trailer
Optronics tail lights # ST56RS and # ST57RS are submersible assemblies. This means that water can drain out of them. What I recommend are sealed lights such as # STL57RB and # STL56RB so water cannot get in at all. Sealed lights will have far less issues than regular submersible lights.

  • Replacement Wesbar Taillight For Shorelander Trailer
I did a Google search on the 5110310 part number you provided, and couldn't find any reference to it. Perhaps this was Shorelander's internal part number for the lamp? If you click the provided link, you can see the Wesbar taillights we offer. I do know that the # 403025 was commonly used by Shorelander. Given the measurements you provided, # 403025 is the likely replacement. If you'd care to reply with a photo of the remaining passenger side lamp, I'd be happy to look into it further for you.

  • Removing Existing Trailer Taillight
The procedure from removing your existing lamps will depend on the lamp itself. If your current lamp is part # ST57RS, there are bolts on the rear of the lamp that pass through the mounting bracket on the trailer. Once these bolts are loosened, the lamp will pull away from the trailer frame. If you have a different lamp, send me a photo by replying to this email.

  • Left Hand Side Trailer Light to Match ST56RS
The left hand version of the part # ST56RS is actually part number # ST57RS. The biggest difference is that this one has a light for the license plate that would be mounted below it. Aside from that it's no different. Only other difference is it has a yellow wire instead of a green wire for the stop/turn signal.

  • Replacement Tail Light Lenses For Optronics ST57RS and ST56RS Trailer Tail Lights
Unfortunately Malcolm, Optronics does not manufacturer replacement lenses for your Tail Lights # ST57RS, # ST56RS. You would either have to get all new lights to use their lenses or you could replace your tail lights with ones like the # TLL160RK. These are LED upgrades so they will be brighter and last longer. And we do carry the Replacement Lenses # A16RB which will fit these lights.

  • Submersible/ Boat Trailer Incandescent Light Recommendation
The Optronics Trailer Tail Light # ST31RB is considered to be a weatherproof light, which means it can withstand the occasional rain shower, and according to my contact at Optronics, it is in fact submersible. That being said, I took a look at the light and wasn't able to really notice any type of seal surrounding the bulb, so I believe we have far better options for you. If your boat trailer is less than 80 inches wide, a similarly priced gasket sealed and waterproof incandescent light...

  • Trailer Right Turn Signal Does Not Work and Left Signal Comes On Instead of Right
The first thing you are going to want to do is isolate the issue. Disconnect the trailer from the vehicle and use a circuit tester, # PTW2993 if needed, to test the wiring on the vehicle. If you are using an aftermarket converter on the vehicle first test the wires leading into the converter box. If the signals are not correct, then there is an issue with the vehicle wiring you will need to track down. If the signals are correct going in but not coming out at the connector then that indicates...
