Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver lock. This flush-style trailer hitch receiver lock is used in place of a standard pin and clip to prevent theft of your ball mount or hitch-mounted accessory. Now, the neat thing about this is it comes with this adapter sleeve, so that we can actually change the pin diameter from a 5/8 diameter to 3/4" diameter. This is designed to work with hitches that measure up to 3"x3". Really nice design, it'll work for pretty much any hitch out there on the market. This allows you to secure your bike rack, cargo carrier, hitch cover, till bar, ball mount, and even more to your trailer hitch.
Features a traditional flat key design. Looking at nice, durable steel construction, the zinc finishing to resist rust and corrosion, and it does have the dust cap or dust cover that goes over the key slot, keeps dirt and moisture out.Again, this is designed to fit hitches with 3"x3" trailer hitch receivers. It'll also work with 2 1/2" hitches and 2" hitches. Pin diameter is 5/8", but you can convert it to 3/4" when you use the included sleeve. Unlocking is really easy.
You place a key in, give about 1/4 of a turn, that pops out, indicating that it's unlocked. You can take the barrel off, and then that's also when you can remove the included sleeve. So 5/8" diameter, or 3/4" diameter. We got a nice seal here, which protects the lock core. Again, it keeps dirt and grime out of there.
To lock it you don't have to have the key installed, so you can take this, place it on, push it down. Has that audible click so you know that it's locked, and then you place the dust cap on it. Overall length of the unit, I took a measurement from very edge to very edge, got a measurement of around 7 3/8", and then the usable pin length, or the span is 4". That's inside edge to inside edge. It worked well for 1 year but at the 1.5 year mark it has rusted and the lock no longer works--it accepts the key but does not engage the locking mechanism. Thankfully I was able to get it off the hitch receiver. Will need to replace it.

I haven't really used it yet. The hitch is great as it is fully adjustable for all height of trailers etc.

With Ford's better idea, lining up all of the sleeves to neck down from 31/2 to 21/4, this locked everything together very nicely. Extremely well built.

same product quality and brand as the corner supply store however I did save some money. Be aware that there was no pride put into packaging the items for shipping. No packing or padding, and as I was handed the box across my new 1700.00 computer that was a week old, the trailer hitch adapter fell out the ripped side of the box and landed guess where! The most expensive adapter in history.

This lock is long enough to span the 3 inch hitches. It could be a little stronger as I have bent mine a little. Still useable.

I have been using this hitch lock for awhile. It works well just make sure you keep it lubricated so the mechanisms work properly. I do not keep it installed on my vehicle year round, only when I need to tow. Just note that it is long and the key must be inserted in the end to work the mechanism and it pops out. This can be tedious if you have a tight space around your hitch. I have used it on both my 2018 Ram 2500 and 2019 Suburban. It is easy to use on the Ram, plenty of room around the hitch. On the Suburban it is a little more cramped. I usually hold the electric plug cover open when inserting the hitch pin to make it easier.

I bought this item for my 2017 f450. I could not find a good length for my pin this pin is a little on the long size my receiver measures 3 5/8” across the pin that was 3 5/8” from another company reviews said it won’t work so I went this option. Comes with a sleeve for 3/4” hole mine uses 5/8” hole just a little play side to side being too long. Pin worked great.

- Weight Rating Of The Draw-Tite Hitch Receiver Lock # 63259The manufacturer does not list weight capacities for the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63259, but it is rated for use with the 3" Reese Super Titan hitch so it would match or exceed the hitch's 25,000 GTW and 4,000 TW capacities. The tensile strength of hitch pins is usually well above that of the hitch so you're more likely to shred the hitch before the pin will break.
