How Far Down Does B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount Hang For Clearance On 2021 Silverado 2500

Question:

I have a 2021 Silverado 2500HD and want to put this on there. I know it will work but my concern is it will hang too low. What are the overall dimensions of this ball mount or atleast how far below the hitch will it hang. I believe the 7” is to the bottom of the ball so I would guess there will be more material below, that could drag. Thank you

Hi Richard! From the top of the shank to the lowest part where the tri-ball sits on the # BWTS20067BMP is 11.125". If you have the balls at max drop with the tallest one hanging down that would be 12.5". We recommend at least 11" of clearance between the ground and the lowest point to avoid hitting steep driveways or curbs.

I have a 2022 2500 GMC Denali. My hitch is approximately 7 1/2 inches from the bottom of my receiver to the bottom of the hitch shank. I have never had issue with it getting close to the ground. Not even when I am towing our 36 foot fifth wheel.
