No bulky dash box or clunky buttons here—this controller connects over Bluetooth and lets your phone handle it all. Through the OneControl app, you can adjust braking power, tweak sensitivity, and hit the manual override right on your screen. The app also saves multiple trailer profiles, so when you switch setups, your preferred settings are ready to go. Once paired, it keeps working even if your phone disconnects, using the most recently programmed settings.
The compact main unit mounts under the dash, just 3-3/8" long x 3" wide x 7/8" thick. It stays out of sight and out of the way—no knee bumps or cluttered panels. The included adhesive pad and zip ties make it simple to secure anywhere under the dash, and its 3-axis accelerometer automatically senses direction so you can install it at any angle.
Every stop feels steady with true proportional braking. The internal 3-axis accelerometer matches your vehicle’s braking force so your trailer slows at the same rate. It works with trailers that have 1 to 4 axles (8 brake assemblies) and supports electric trailer brakes. The result is balanced braking, reduced wear on tires and pads, and smoother control on every trip.
A custom-fit wiring harness plugs straight into your factory brake control port—no hardwiring required. Once connected, pairing to your smartphone takes only a few seconds through Bluetooth. After that, plug in the trailer’s 7-way connector, let it calibrate for five seconds until the LED turns green, and you’re ready to tow. Built-in reverse polarity and short-circuit protection keep everything safe while you’re on the road.

Still 5 stars, lots of trips including a long tow of over 5000 miles. Consistently worked flawlessly. Mild annoyance that they changed the app but once I learned how the new app worked it continues to function flawlessly.

I reached out to Curt about the problems with the new app. They advised that the new app runs the same as the old app it has to run in the foreground unless they are using the button which is the same as the old app. They wanted to know if you were having trouble getting past that screen. Which type of cell phone do you have and which IOS are you using?
