Features to know about

How Quickly Will You Know If Your Trailer Starts Moving?

Once you mount the PingMaster with the included magnets or screws and set it up, you're ready to protect your trailer with alerts to your phone that trigger the moment it starts to move. Instead of waiting for a delayed update or discovering the problem hours later, you'll know right away when something changes. The system also shifts into a faster update rate during motion, giving you more frequent location points while the trailer is on the move. It's built to give you the awareness and reaction time in situations when every minute matters.

How Does It Track Your Trailer Outdoors?

This model uses GPS as its primary locating method, giving you accurate outdoor tracking when satellite signal is available. If your trailer moves into a spot where GPS is limited, the tracker can still provide an approximate location using nearby cellular towers. That bit of fallback helps you keep tabs on your trailer even when conditions aren't ideal.

How Long Will the Battery Last on Your Trailer?

This tracker delivers 5,000 guaranteed pings, giving you years of dependable service without the cycle of constant charging or battery upkeep. That means you can mount it once and rely on it year after year without wondering if it's still powered. With fewer interruptions and no maintenance schedule to manage, it removes one more thing from your to-do list so you can focus on the important things.

What Can You Do in the Tracking App?

The mobile dashboard gives you an easy way to check your trailer's location, set movement alerts, and keep an eye on activity with just a quick look on your phone.

You'll be able to:

  • Set "geofences" to know the moment your trailer leaves or enters a specific area.
  • Track movement history to see where your trailer has been and how long it stayed there.
  • Review location timelines to understand patterns or confirm recent use.
  • Mark authorized or unauthorized activity to stay aware of who is moving your trailer.
  • Monitor maintenance intervals so you can keep your equipment in reliable condition.
  • View all your trailers in a single dashboard to stay organized at a glance.

These tools provide the kind of everyday visibility that lets you stay connected to your trailer wherever it's stored or wherever it's headed.

How Do You Activate the Tracker and Manage Service?

You can activate the service by scanning the included QR code and following the steps in the app. There are no contracts or surprise fees, and you only pay for the service you choose. It's a transparent setup that gives you full control from the start, which is helpful if you've dealt with complicated activations or unclear pricing from other tracking systems.

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer, and today we are in Oklahoma City at the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers Trailer Expo 2025, where we have quite a few of our vendors that we're gonna take a look at some of their products and some of their offerings, and gonna get a nice close look at them. I'm with Tom from PingMaster and they have some cool offerings. We're gonna take a closer look at those products. Tom, what do we have today Well, we got a couple of 'em. We have our first one up is our PingMaster 6000, which has a minimum 6,000 pings and comes with a 15 year battery life. Now why is that important Well, if you have a lot of battery power, you can have a ton of pings, and so that's why we have a minimum 6,000 pings on this.

Now, if you have the pings, you have lots of features and benefits that you can bring to the table. For example, with this we have motion sensing. So anytime that someone's messing with the trailer and there's some movement you're gonna get pinged to know right away, and now it's with outside a geo fence. Say it's at your pasture gate and they're headed out, you're gonna get another ping. And once someone's taking your trailer, unfortunately, and it's traveling down the road, it's going to continue to ping at you until you tell it to stop.

So you have a chance now where when trailers we inchesre being stolen, you didn't really get a chance to recover it. You would find maybe the GPS in the ditch somewhere. But now you're able to get the information right away, you're able to track that trailer down while it's being stolen. That is much, much different than in the past. And in the past, most of your GPS would get you down to that five yard line and say, okay, if you wait about another 2, 4, 12 hours, we'll let you know where it's at, where this is much different.

This gets you all the way down there and then it's gonna take you across and let you know exactly where that trailer's at Rather than a GPS tracker that you know, will not eventually maybe find your trailer, but maybe find the GPS in a ditch. Now our user interface is much, much different. It's gonna give you, again, lots of features and benefits and we're a four time award-winning GPS at this time. We're up for three more at this trade show obviously, but we're a four time award-winning. Now, what that means to you is, is one of them is we have a service boomerang feature on here, and that's going to estimate mileage.

And now why is this important Because if you have a trailer and it's out there living a trailer life over that four or five year period, eventually they're gonna have mileage thresholds that they're gonna meet. Say at that 19,000 mile threshold, an axle recedes. So they're gonna get a message that goes directly to 'em through the app or through their cell phone that says come on back to your dealer and get that service work done. Or it's required to get done maybe for warranty compliance or whatever it is. It's just a nice upkeep that lets you know, there's not many GPSs out there that will read the mileage. Yeah. So it's pretty unique. I think we're only gonna see you guys continue to excel and be ahead of the curve and we're happy to have you here at etrailer. Oh, we're glad to have you. Thank you so much. Tom thank you. Appreciate it. We're excite about bringing all your neighbors GPS, and we believe in absolutely remarkable service from beginning all the way through the end. So everybody can expect that absolutely from us. Awesome. Well, thank you, Tom. Appreciate it, thank you, Brad.

  • Does PingMaster Trailer Tracker Need To Be Hardwired Into The Trailer Wiring?
Yes, Rob - that’s one of the big advantages here with the PingMaster trailer tracker systems. The 3000 with WiFi backup # PM84FR, 5000 # PM64FR, and 5000 with WiFi backup # PM74FR are completely self-contained. They mount using the built-in magnet or included screws, with no wiring or battery hookups required. They have a built-in battery that lasts 7-12 years depending on which one you pick. Most folks hide them under the trailer frame or inside a plastic enclosure with some exposure...

  • Which PingMaster Trailer Tracker System Is Best To Use On My Trailer To Prevent Theft?
Megan, it really comes down to how often you want location updates. The PingMaster 3000 w/ WiFi Backup # PM84FR provides 3,000 guaranteed pings from the battery, which can last around 7+ years at 2 pings per day. If you want more frequent tracking or long-term coverage with heavier use, the PingMaster 5000 models # PM64FR or # PM74FR give you extra headroom with 5,000 pings. PingMaster says these usually last about 12+ years at 2 pings per day. All three offer instant motion alerts - it’s...

  • Trailer Tracker With Alarm For Utility Trailer Parked At Fenced Storage Lot
Kevin, that’s exactly what these PingMaster trailer trackers are built for. All three models - the PingMaster 3000 w/ WiFi Backup # PM84FR and both PingMaster 5000 versions # PM64FR and # PM74FR - use motion-sensing alerts that notify you the moment the trailer starts moving, not hours later. Once movement is detected, they automatically shift into faster tracking so you can see where it’s headed in real time from your phone. If your trailer ever gets repositioned legitimately, you can...

  • What Is The Difference Between PingMaster Trailer GPS Tracker 5000 and 5000 With WiFi?
Great question, Alan. The PingMaster 5000 # PM64FR and PingMaster 5000 w/ WiFi Backup # PM74FR share the same battery, size, and 5,000-ping capacity. The difference is the extra coverage when GPS signal is bad and the tracker has a difficult time pinging. The # PM74FR can use nearby WiFi networks (doesn't actually connect to the WiFi) and cellular signal when GPS signals are weak, like inside buildings. The # PM64FR relies on GPS with cellular fallback only. If your trailer ever sits indoors...

  • GPS Tracker For Trailers That Are Store In A Warehouse With Bad GPS Signal
Denise, that’s where WiFi backup really comes in handy. The PingMaster 3000 w/ WiFi Backup # PM84FR and PingMaster 5000 w/ WiFi Backup # PM74FR can report approximate locations using WiFi and cellular triangulation when GPS satellites aren’t reachable indoors. Now they don't actually connect to a WiFi source, but use it to ping off of it. The PingMaster 5000 # PM64FR can still fall back on cellular towers, but it won’t have the added WiFi layer. If indoor storage is common for you, the...
