Features to know about

More Clearance for Rough Roads: 4" Lift Spindle Maximizes Ground Space

Tight spots and rocky paths can scrape the bottom of a trailer fast. This Axle-Less suspension system uses a 4" lift spindle to raise everything higher, giving you more ground clearance from front to back. That extra space keeps plumbing and gear protected and helps you roll over uneven ground without bottoming out.

Smooth Ride on Any Load: AEON Progressive-Rate Rubber Springs Absorb Shock

Long hauls and bumpy roads don’t have to mean constant bounce. The AEON progressive-rate main springs take the hit from potholes and trail ruts, getting stiffer as the load increases for steady support. Rebound springs keep the suspension under tension, cutting rattle and bottoming out so the trailer stays stable whether empty or full.

Quiet, Independent Performance: Axle-Less Design Reduces Roll and Sway

Instead of one axle tying both sides together, each suspension unit runs on its own. That independence helps balance off-center loads and reduces roll during cornering. Built-in camber and toe-in keep tracking straight, so tires wear evenly and the trailer stays quiet behind you—no clatter or lean in the turns.

Built to Last: Heavy-Duty Steel with EZ Lube 4" Lift Spindles

Everything about this setup is made for hard use. The heavy-duty steel arms and powder coat finish stand up to wear and corrosion. The EZ Lube spindles make greasing simple, and if one ever gets damaged, it can be removed and replaced without tearing down the whole suspension. With a 5,200-lb capacity and 5-bolt brake flange configuration, it’s designed for dependable performance trip after trip.

Easy Fit and Frame Flexibility: Bolts or Welds to Any Width Trailer Frame

Whether you’re building new or upgrading old gear, this system fits any frame width without needing a thru axle. It bolts or welds right to the frame, and if there’s no crossmember above the mounting spot, there’s a built-in hole for adding 2" x 3" steel tubing for reinforcement. That makes setup simple while keeping the structure solid for heavy loads or off-road travel.

Note

  • The Timbren Axle-Less suspension system may require additional support on your trailer. If your trailer does not have a crossmember above the spot where you want to install the Timbren system, you may need to reinforce the frame. You can accomplish this three ways. First, you can retrofit the trailer with a crossmember. Second, you can build out the trailer frame. Third, you can use 2" x 3" steel tubing to connect the 2 Timbren suspensions together using the built-in hole on each unit.
  • Technical diagram showing Timbren Axle-Less suspension installation alignment measurements labeled A and B for correct positioning on trailer frame.
  • A and B — Before mounting the units, measure back from the coupler and mark the frame to make sure that the two distance measurements (A and B) are within 1/8 inch of each other.

this took a while to get as it was backordered, but abbey and the entire etrailer staff were excellent on giving updates + status. great product, great service, 0 complaints. this is the second set of timber axle-less suspension i have owned and i may never use a standard axle for a trailer ever again. the trailer i put a 3500HD system on has over 30,000 mi with zero issues. it just flat works.

  • Recommended 5,200 lbs Timbren Axle-Less System
It absolute is Clinton! Installing the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System item # T54KV is going to be pretty easy for someone who's got experience working on their vehicles or trailers. The most complicated part is going to be getting the trailer jacked up and off the ground so you can remove your bent axle and suspension hangers. The Timbren item # T54KV will definitely work with your 2" x 6" frame. You'll either bolt or weld the brackets directly to your frame. I highly recommend...

  • What Is The Difference Between Timbren xle-Less Trailer Suspension T54KV And TASR5200S03?
Hello Graham, thanks for reaching out. Both the parts you mentioned, the Timbren # T54KV and # TASR5200S03 are 5,200 lb axle-less systems. The difference is the # T54KV is designed for off-road applications with offroad tires while the # TASR5200S03 is designed for regular on-road use. So the difference would be how the suspension flexes and handles those situations. Aside from that they are both the same spindle, same 4" lift and 5-bolt brake flange. Were you thinking of doing a single...
