The EnCore secures at both the cab and the tailgate to deliver ultimate convenience for you and protection for your truck bed and cargo. The BOLT system secures the tonneau cover at the cab of your truck by locking down the front panel. This revolutionary, 1-key system features a lock core that can be coded to match your truck's ignition key. This coding process takes place automatically when you first insert your truck's key into the cylinder. You won't have to worry about using - or losing - extra keys.
The SecureShut system lets you latch down the rear panel so that your truck bed is completely protected when your tailgate is closed and locked. The sturdy construction will also prevent anyone from peeling the cover up at the sides or cutting through its center, ensuring additional peace of mind.
Convenient Bed Access at Cab and Tailgate
The EnCore's tri-fold design lets you easily access either the front or rear of your truck bed by lifting up the corresponding panel.
Like most folding covers, the panels operate on a hinge system that lets you fold one panel on top of the other. But what sets the EnCore apart from the competition is the handy latch located at the cab that gives you the ability to open the cover at the front. Simply unlock the panel and pull it up using the integrated handle.
To unlatch the rear panel, drop your tailgate and pull either of the 2 release cords located along the bottom corners of the panel's housing. Either cord will release both of the SecureShut latches so that you can lift up the panel. To close the EnCore, simply fold down the panels front to back. The rear panel will securely latch back into place under its own weight.
Full Truck Bed Access
Want to travel with your truck bed open so that you can haul large cargo? No problem. Fold up the both the rear and middle panels and secure them on top of the front panel at the cab with the integrated Hold-Tite buckles. This will free up two-thirds of your truck bed. For full bed access, just lift the cover off completely and store it until next time. To remove the cover, fold the panels up and secure them with the Hold-Tite buckles. Pivot the folded cover upright. The cover will disengage from the rails so that you can easily lift it off your truck. Note: You cannot drive around with only the rear panel open.
Sturdy, All-Weather Construction
The EnCore is built to last and comes with a 3-year warranty. The rugged, textured, 1" thick SunStrong panels are constructed of fiberglass-reinforced plastic that withstands impacts, resists harsh UV rays, and keeps the cover cooler to the touch than an aluminum cover. The black powder coated aluminum frame rails will not rust and have rubber corners to protect the tonneau and your cargo from dents and dings. Heavy-duty, extruded aluminum hinges ensure a seamless fold time after time. Integrated rubber layers run around the perimeter of the cover to help keep out water. If any water does seep through, it will run along the frame rails and will then exit through the drain hose that installs behind your cab.
Easy, No-Drill Installation
The EnCore is easy to install. The tonneau's frame rails clamp to your truck bed side rails. Once the rails are installed, simply align the retaining hooks on the front and center panels with the pins in the frame rails. The hooks will latch in place when you fold the front and middle panels down. This positioning system ensures a perfect fit every time and keeps the cover stable while you are driving. To complete installation, just fold down the rear panel. It will latch under its own weight.

This cover leaks rain water. The top plastic cover has warped and bubbled. The latching mechanism does not catch when closing. The only thing I like is that it is easy to remove when not needed. 928233

This is my 3rd Encore Tonneau cover, we really like them. I have an auxiliary fuel tank in the bed and this cover allows me to open the cover from the front and refuel. The only downside, this is a new issue, is the Bolt lock uses the vehicles key to set it, which is convenient if you have a key. However, if you have keyless entry like I do and only have the emergency key inside of the key fob, the instructions tell you not to use that key. That key is flat on both sides. I contacted Extang and they told me to go ahead and use the emergency as it's the only key I have. We will see how that works over time. I may look around for an old vehicle key to use before I set it with my emergency key. Also, once you set the Bolt lock you cannot reset it to another key, you have to order a replacement Bolt lock. Anyway, this cover is sturdy, keeps dust and water only very well and old up to the elements very well. 676653

As always etrailer delivery was prompt and on time. The product however was less than stellar. The side rails were over bent to about a 5deg angle Had to bring in shop and open the rail so it would sit flat on the side of the truck. Then the screws that hold the back latching system in place are stripped. Not one but all 4 of the screws ,2 on each side. The locking system on the front of the cover requires that you slam it to activate the latching system. For the price, quality control is far from acceptable. 587904

Great cover and what is real nice was the front section towards the cab is lockable (self keyed to vehicle) which allows for grabbing items forward of center. The cover is very secure and does extremely well keeping the elements out of the bed of my truck. I would suggest two people on the installation of this topper since it is rigid and a little heavy. 541532

I am very happy with this tonneau cover. My brother & I installed it with very few problems. It is easy to remove & replace if you have something tall to haul. The only minor issue is getting it to latch without pulling the cable when closing the back. (That may be an adjustment that I need to make) and if you close the tailgate while it the cover is closed, it curls the rubber seal at the back that I stick my finger in and pop back out so it is flush with the top of the tailgate. 372610
