Question:

I have a 2020 3500 Ram Mega cab truck with a fuel tank in the front of the bed that is only 9inch deep. When this cover is folded up against the back window how many inches does it stick into the bed? Im trying to see if I can get to the fuel cap.

Thanks for your question, Ken.

My search hasn't turned up a solid answer for you unfortunately. I was able to find a video on Leer's website and it shows a side profile of it folded up (there's a snip of it below for you). Comparing their video as well as our demo video we have, the part of cover # LE59FR that's closest to the bulk head is going to be about 6-8" wide.

I don't have one available to be able to go out and get the measurement myself. I wasn't able to get much information when reaching out. If the end of tank is 9" from the bulk head, I feel like you may have issues getting to the cap. We do have a TruXedo tonneau cover that opens at the bulk head thus giving you really easy access to the tank. It's part # TX746901, not a hard fold up like the Leer one but would eliminate any possible clearance issues.

I decided to order the BAK Revolver X2 roll up cover instead. Not my first choice but I know it will work for my application. Thanks for your research.
