Hello Al, thanks for reaching out. Both of the tonneau covers you mentioned, the Pace Edwards UltraGroove # 311-KMD7936 and the RetraxPRO XR # RTT-80233 are a fit for your 2026 Ram 3500 with the 8' bed. There are a few noteworthy differences between the two.

One thing I really like about the Retrax is the cover can lock in any position along the rail. The Pace Edwards locks in 12" intervals. The Retrax cover also glides more smoothly along the rails, and has a pull handle on the drivers side. The pace Edwards has a pull strap which can be harder to get to when the cover is open. Retrax is typically priced a bit higher, but comes with only a 3 year warranty. Pace Edwards covers have a lifetime warranty.

A few things I like about the Pace Edwards. The cover is more low profile and sits more flush inside the bed rails. Also the canister is smaller so it takes up less room in the bed. The Pace Edwards will also be easier to install.

Both covers have T-slot rails for adding accessories, and both have a similar aluminum composition. Personally I would lean towards the pace Edwards because the quality will be a bit better and the cover is more versatile.
