A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

With only one diode (many of my other marker lights have between 4 - 15) I was initially concerned about their brightness, but once installed I was happy with the amount of light they emit.
These led marker lights were the perfect replacement for my 17 year lights on my motor home. E trailer on hand is the slowest in processing the order and getting it out to the customer.
Part was correct and I received it quickly. Have used e-trailer many times and always a +.
Somewhat tricky to replace the "Brite" oval lights on my Itasca Navion. I recommend that you cut the wires to the existing light as close to the bulb as possible to give the most to work with. I used blue crimp connectors and existing holes by angling the mounting screws. Looks very similar to the OEM lights in the daytime. I haven't compared the lights at night.
Like the brightness and look. Only complaint would be the foam gasket instead of rubber. When I drilled out the mounting holes, the foam wrapped around the bit tearing the foam. Another idea would be to have holes in the gasket lining up with the mounting holes.

1 year, still works perfectly
I bought these a year ago to replace the side rear markers on my Navion. The ones I had, used flashlight type bulbs that were on sometimes, sometimes not. I had to rap them with my knuckle and they be on for awhile again. These lights are led and are almost the same size as the ones I replaced. I had to drill a second hole though because the holes did not line up. My old lights could be seen and whether they were lit from my rear view mirrors, and I looked all the time since they were faulty. The new ones can be seen, but you can’t tell if they are lit in the daytime, but I figure they are since they are new and led.
I bought these optronics marker lights for my Winnebago View a year ago, but needed to replace one. They were still available, so I got a couple, to have a spare one, in case I may need it later. They are an almost perfect replacement for the original marker lights on the back end of the RV. Kathy was very helpful in filling my order.

Still using this lamp as a marker light in my 2007 Navion motorhome. It works just fine. The light output seems slightly less bright and uniform compared to my OEM incandescent markers that it replaced, but still very satisfied. I would buy this again. PRO TIP: The mount holes in the lamp did not match the originals in my RV. Rather than drill new holes into the RV, I simply drilled a new hole into the lamp (and its foam seal) to match those in my RV. Worked fine.
I ordered 5 lights, and I got 5 lights. I can't have them installed until next week, so can't say if they'll really fit, or work or any of that important stuff. I paid extra to have them here by Saturday. But they arrived Thursday. That was nice, since I'm starting a road trip on Wednesday.

I used these lights to replace the old Globrite incandescent marker lights on my 2014 Winnebago View. They were easy to install and work as they should one year later. Great price too!
