When you need a tire-and-wheel combo that can handle serious miles, this setup is built for confidence. The Kenda Loadstar bias tire carries a 1,100-lb maximum load at 50 psi and meets Department of Transportation specifications. Its M speed rating of 81 mph means it’s ready for real highway use, not just short hops. The matching steel wheel is rated for 1,650 lbs, so the assembly has plenty of capacity margin for long hauls.
Towing through wet or coastal conditions can take a toll on standard finishes. This 10" diameter x 6" wide steel wheel is galvanized for superior corrosion resistance, helping prevent rust and keeping the wheel looking clean even after years of exposure. You can count on the durable finish to hold up whether stored outside or run through frequent washdowns.
The bias construction uses thick nylon cords positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle in alternating layers. This design stiffens the sidewalls, allowing the whole tire to flex together for better handling and a smoother feel when towing across uneven surfaces. It’s a simple, proven design that adds stability where it matters most.
Fitment is straightforward thanks to standard specs throughout. The wheel features a 4 on 4" bolt pattern, a 0 offset, and a 2.5" pilot diameter, with 1/2"-20 wheel bolts. Section width is 8.3" and outer diameter when inflated is 20.5". That clear sizing makes it easy to match your setup without second guessing measurements.
Flat or road hazard damage doesn’t have to ruin your plans. This Kenda tire includes a one-year worry-free guarantee—if it’s damaged in any way within the first 12 months, it will be replaced at no charge. It’s backed further by a 5-year warranty on the tire and a limited 2-year warranty on the wheel, so you’re covered long after installation.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

New wheels and tires look great Matt! I am curious, does your Taylor Dunn have a better turning radius than the one in Austin Powers?
