The grease cap on this hub is specially designed to work with your Dexter E-Z Lube axle to make lubricating bearings quick and easy. Just remove the plug on the grease cap, attach a grease gun to the zerk fitting on the end of the spindle, and inject the grease. It will flow easily to both inner and outer bearings. Not only does this make lubricating the bearings easy, but it also helps to prevent corrosion of the hub. This is because you can lubricate the bearings without the mess of taking apart the entire assembly.
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.
Note: Some axles rated at 2,000 lbs require a different seal and bearings. Be sure that the bearings in the hub being replaced have L44649 stamped on them. If the bearings have L44643 stamped on them, use 8-258BTUC1 trailer hub.
Note: Trailer wheels that are smaller than 15" and have 5 bolts, have a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.

I was amazed at all the helpful information (measuring, correct bearing size etc.), with videos when searching for the correct hub replacements for my 1999 Bass Tracker - Trailstar Trailer which has the EZ lube Dexter axle.

Direct bolt-on replacement hubs for my utility trailer. Had both hubs packed with grease and installed in an hour. Completed a 600+ mile vacation with trailer in tow, worked fantastic.
Awesome product, fits like it should! Came with everything for a full hub, did not come with castle-nut or cotter-pin but can re-use the old nut and pick up a new pin at a hardware store. Great customer service, quick shipping, great price.

The rubber seals to hold the grease in are a bit dodgey though after just being exposed to sunshine... they are starting to crack and dry out, which to me means they are a very inexpensive and cheap quality rubber.I havent had to adjust the bearings yet, so happy overall. Note they were installed on a 25 year old trailer so really was helpful to extend the life even further.
Installed the new hubs yesterday on my Triton snowmobile trailer.
These are the OEM hub for my trailer and I wasn't happy with the replacement hubs which were installed as the EZ Lube feature of the axle was not working a it should.
It was real nice to order a complete high quality hub set at a great good price.
They fit Great and the EZ Lube hubs now work well.

I am very happy with service etrailer has provided me. I decided to tackle my trailer's hub and bearing replacement by myself. Great Hubs fast shipping. When you buy a axle it should be noted that it fits your hubs only.

Thanks for your review, Richard - As long as the hub bearings and seal matches what the axle spindle calls for, the hubs do not have to be the hubs that we have on our site.

The axle is performing great. I have run it about 2000 miles and the tires are doing great. The original axle wore out a tire in 1000 miles. I am very pleased with this business and have told several people about it. THANKS
Great product. Kit comes with everything needed to replace the Hub. Total install time was less then 10min and the new wheels matched up perfectly. The kit was just installed so no comment on the durability yet but everything appears to be made of good quality materials. Extremely fast shipping. Highly recommend this product as well and the distributer. Job well done all the way around.

Ordered for a spare hub for Tracker marine trailer for Fisher 1710 boat. Exact hub as original and a great price compared to local marine dealers or parts stores.
Exactly what I ordered, it should be clear races are installed. Parts were loose in box but all there. I bought as emergency hub assembly for boat trailer. I did notice bearings are made in China that was my only concern for long term use.

I made numerous phone calls because I was worried about ordering the wrong hub. These people were so patient and helpful and never got aggravated with all my questions. In the end, I received my hub very quickly, it went right on with little effort at all. One year later I've had no issues period. They got me back on the water quickly and I would recommend anyone use etrailers for any needs you may have!! Very polite and professional with high quality parts!
