This Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 bias tire and 8" white steel wheel combo is built for steady highway use and day-to-day towing jobs. The tire carries a Load Range C rating with a ply rating of 6 and handles up to 745 lbs at 90 psi, while the wheel itself is rated at 910 lbs. Both meet Department of Transportation specs, so you can count on solid performance under load trip after trip.
The 8" × 3-3/4" steel wheel isn’t just tough—it’s protected. A corrosion-resistant white powder coat is applied over an e-coat primer to seal out moisture and road grime. That durable finish helps keep the wheel looking good and working right through rain, humidity, or road salt exposure.
Fitment is straightforward with the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern, 2.8" pilot diameter, and zero offset that keeps the mounting flange perfectly centered in the rim. The wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20, giving you confidence that alignment and balance stay true once installed.
The bias construction uses durable nylon cords set at a 30°–45° angle in alternating layers. This crisscross pattern stiffens the sidewalls so the entire tire can flex evenly over bumps or uneven surfaces. The result is a stable, predictable ride whether you’re rolling through gravel lots or smooth pavement.
This assembly arrives as one complete unit—tire already mounted on the wheel and aired up to proper pressure—so it’s ready to bolt on right out of the box. That means less downtime and no extra mounting costs before getting back on the road.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Joseph, I would love to give you a wheel hub cap however we do not currently carry one that would work for you. You will need a cap that fits a pilot hole diameter of 2.80 inches and works with a 4 bolt 8 inch rim.
Totally rebuilt a small jet ski trailer to haul 450 lbs. of custom shutters from Michigan to south Florida, 1,575 miles. I also installed new Timkin bearings. Pulled the trailer over a two day period with absolutely no tire, wheel or bearing issues. I75 speeds of 75 mph. Absolutely no issues.
needed new tires for a jetski trailer. nobody had any in stock locally or was going to charge an arm and a leg to have tires mounted on the current rims. your price was cheaper and i received the product in less than 3 days from ordering it. was very satisfied.

I put the tires with wheels on my trailer this morning. Haven't had an occasion to use the trailer to transport my riding mower, but the wheels and tires look fine. I had some misgivings about buying wheels and tires online because of the hassle of returning them should they not fit. The description of the of the tires and wheels was complete and they fit my trailer just fine. I'll buy again from etrailer.com.

The tires have never let me down.
I have about 7000 freeway miles on the tires with no issues with the tires themselves. I do have a significant issue with the rim/valve stem interface. Each tire failed at the valve stem while on the freeway - that is THREE highway speed flats. It turns out that in each case the rim cut the valve stem.
Would I recommend them? Yes, but ONLY IF the valve holes are deburred and better valve stems are installed.

Hi Cheryl, that shouldn't have happened to you. The valve stems that come with the tire are rated for the max psi range of the tire which is 90 psi. I want to verify, did you have the tires fully inflated when they failed? We do have a higher rated valve stem that we offer the Americana Metal, Bolt-In Valve Stem part # AM20906 which is rated for over 100 psi, just to be on the extra safe side.
Arrived on time and as advertised. Came fully inflated to the correct pressure. I bought these to replace 12 inch wheels to get my 15 foot Jon boat a little lower because the ramp where this is launched is pretty shallow and I hate getting my truck wheels in the water when I launch. I adjusted the trailer and these wheels were the finishing touch to get where I need to be.

Product arrived quickly. I love the fact that etrailer has live USA based people answer the phone quickly and have everything they need to get you accurate answers fast.
The reservoir I fish at has a questionable ramp. I removed the 12 inch tires and replaced them with the 8 inch. This puts it a little closer to the water and I don't have to back in as far. Retrieval will also be better. Fast, accurate service with a very reasonable price. Thanks for everything.

Working great.
After less than a total of 100 miles of driving on the tires, one of the valve stems began leaking and the tire went flat. I had to pay to get it repaired. I tried calling the manufacturer multiple times but no one answered and they did not return my voicemails so I was not able to use the warranty that supposedly came with the tires. I'm disappointed in the manufacturer of the tire but not etrailer as they tried to help me. It was the manufacturer's problem to handle but didn't.
Fit well and they replaced 30 year old tires and rims, much nicer to tow….
