Question:

What is proper inflation pressure and max towing speed? Thanks,

Helpful Expert Reply:

Trailer tires should always be inflated to their max psi to ensure you get the full weight capacity and the best tire wear.

The Trailer Tire part # AM30060 that you referenced should be inflated to 90 psi when cold.

I have the kenda tube type trailer tyre 4.8/4.00-8. It says 90 psi pressure, but that feels scary? I was going to put 40 lb psi . It’s only a small trailer with camping stuff and fishing gear in, can you advise please. Thanks

There are some exceptions but a great majority of trailer tires, including your Kenda units, should always be inflated to their listed maximum psi. I know for a smaller, lighter trailer this sounds a bit silly - but it's to ensure proper load capacity and performance.
