Question:
LOOKING FOR A FRONT TIRE THAT IS 480/4.0-8 THAT I CAN SAFELY GET TO 70 MPH THIS RUBBER IS GOING ON A DRAG MINIBIKE THAT IS CURRENTLY HITTING 64 MPH. I DONT WANT TO FACE PLANT GOING THAT FAST, CAN YOU DIRECT ME TO A TIRE ?

Helpful Expert Reply:
We do not have a 4.80/4.00-8 tire that is rated for that speed. These tires are however rated for loads of up to 590 or 745 lbs at the max psi listed on the tire and are rated based on long distance driving under that load for 65 mph at their max psi so they don't overheat and fail.
I can't confirm that the Kenda K371 Bias Trailer Tire - 4.80/4.00-8 - Load Range C # AM10004 or any other trailer tire will work on your drag mini bike as they haven't been tested for that use or the speeds for that application. The 6 ply rating of this tire will help it from overheating as quickly as the # AM10002 with the 4 ply rating.
The Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range B # AM30020 comes balanced for trailer use as does the higher rated # AM30060.
